UT football or basketball. Who will have fewer losses when 2008 arrives?

Will the UT men's basketball team or the football team have fewer losses through Dec?

With the hopes of both the football and men's basketball teams at Tennessee having good seasons this year, which team do you think will have fewer losses through December 31st, 2007?

this is kinda hard to say. Basketball, they play alot more games..

Don't forget, though, the basketball team's conference schedule won't have started yet. Also regarding the basketball schedule, Memphis & TOSU are in '08, but we don't know for sure who the baskeball team will play in the Legends Classic, which will be played before the new year, and the basketball team will have played Xavier and Gonzaga.

I have the football team losing 3 games in the prediction thread, and looking at the basketball schedule, I can't see 3 losses before 2008...

Basketball.

I'm not sure of our schedule exactly, but UT may be unbeaten through December...

Lol - that's basketball hands down... I will be surprised if our basketball team isn't undefeated through the end of December..

that's optimistic.

We have a good reason to be optimistic.. only 2 teams I see that can play us within 10 points... Gonzaga and West Virginia (if it sets up right in the tourny).. normally I'd say Texas - but we all know we own Texas in bball..

Xavier is interesting but I don't think we have that much trouble with them.

I disagree 100%.

It's our first "true" road game if you don't count the trips to the tourney (assuming we win our first two) and the revenge match in Chattanooga. Pearl will have them ready.. no doubt.. I guess I could see us being a little sluggish the first half, but I don't expect the same Xavier team that should have beat Ohio State to show up. They definetly had a bone to pick with OSU in that game.

A perennial NCAA tournament team in a packed Cintas Center compared to a middle of the road Sun Belt team in front of friends and family. That's a difference.

Chris Lofton - experienced point guard - big men who aren't lost 1/2 of the time - Tyler Smith

Not to mention - Xavier is a team Bruce Pearl knows he can't just write off and mark down as a win - which he may have done down in LA.. but if I remember we had a horrible time shooting in their gym which Pearl can't do anything about.

I'm pretty sure Chris Lofton played against La.-Lafayette. Also, Drew Lavender, Josh Duncan, et al are a fair piece better than what the Ragin' Cajuns put on the floor.
