"UT Football at the Liberty Bowl"

let's just say UT goes 4-0 in november. that makes us 6-6, and puts us in the music city bowl. that would be GREAT for in state recruiting, the ability to go to a bowl game in the state of tennessee. probably won't happen, but that would be a best case scenario.

Respectfully, just entertaining the thought of UT might make a bowl game in the state pretty much is all you need to say about the state of our program. I personally don't think it would help with recruiting, probably hurt.

I like the idea of a neutral-site type game in Memphis with Ole Miss, but we get more out of playing in Atlanta exposure-wise. There is also a lot more talent in the Peach state. See game versus NC St in 2012.

Just make Memphis a permanent opponent. You get a game there every other year.

If I may, Memphis has never thought of itself as part of Tennessee. They live in their own little world and believe anyone outside of the city limits are hillbillys(their word, not mine). They believe they are relevant in basketball even though they have never won anything except maybe CUSless title. Just read the comments from the local newspaper sports section. Pretty pathetic.:hi:
