Glad to see people reveling in the distant past. I'm sure certain posters on here are holding viewing parties as we speak.

I don't even know where to start with this. It's not like someone randomly posted a thread about pulling his recording of the game from his shrine and reminiscing. The game was on cable television, and a poster wanted to alert fans of the team that it was on. The same thing would probably happen with a replay of any other UT game, win or loss.

Seriously, that post was uncalled for.

That is one of the Vols greatest games ever. If you can watch this and not get exited and emotional then throw out your bottle of zanex and join the rest of us. I just happen to walk into Outback and it was on and I got chills. Hat, this is why we are fans of college football. I give you more credit than anyone as far as knowledge on this board. You are very smart but if this does not get the juices flowing a little, then I dont know what to say. To me any one who could happen to see this game on tv (who is truly a Vol fan) and not get that HELL YEA feeling, something is off.:dance2: I really do not mean any disrespect .
I was there. I see no reason to watch it again. It's like watching a movie that you already know the ending to. It was a great win, it wasn't a great game. It's not like Hagler-Hearns or the Duke -UK Laettner game. The only reason to watch it is that UT won.

I was the one who posted the thread. When I put that message up, I had no intention for it to be a discussion thread. I came home from work, tuned the set on and saw it was just starting. I went to the board, saw nobody else had posted it so I put it up. I just wanted to let anybody interested know it was on.

I agree, the crack about living in the past was uncalled for, but I can't recall reading too many posts from Mister Hayutt that aren't negative.:salute:

The past is exactly that. Past.

Alright, everybody, the great Hatvol has spoken! We are not allowed to ever think about the past again. Follow his orders or he might infect you with his venomous pessimism.
