There was an interesting comment made by Lane Kiffin after his teal lost a close game to Alabama. As we all know, all the Ole Miss fans started cheering and gave the team a standing ovation as the Ole Miss team walked off the field...this made Lane Kiffin angry as he said Ole Miss is not about moral victories and that they came to beat Alabama. I think we need more of that attitude here at UT. Us vol fans, me included have gotten complacent and accepting moral victories. We should not be pleased with keeping it close against GA!!

I don't really believe in moral victories, but there is nothing wrong with appreciating when your boys leave it all on the field even in a close loss.

So we should boo as they leave even if they played a great game Nope won't do it. Didn't agree with Lane then and don't agree nowIf my Vols bust their a$$, play a great game and still come up short on the scoreboard I will cheer for them in appreciation and get ready for next week.

That's just the competitor in Lane talking. He saw a opportunity there and it got away. That's why i never pay a lot of attention to post game interviews, they're usually still fired up and not thinking straight at the time.

So, the Ole Miss fans gave a standing ovation for a losing performance and they’re not about moral victories?

We kept it close vs. UGA?

I’m so confused.

Fact is, Kiffin gave his team a shot to beat a team far more talented. Pruitt didn't muster up against a team with a little more talent. Kiffin is a better coach than Pruitt and it's not that close

Kiffin may be a “better coach” but when it comes to maturity, honesty and character Pruitt hands down is the better person. We lost on Saturday And We have a great coach who wants to be here. It will turn around and it will turn around soon. Look at Clemson under Dabo. It took a few seasons. Go back to your basement and fire up the video games.😂😂😂

Kiffin is 28-24 vs Power 5 Teams as a coach...he is a good OC though

Clemson got their asses kicked for several years by teams lesser than that Georgia one before they put it all together. So did Johnny Majors in the early days at UT. Sometimes we need to be patient our team is clearly improved from what Pruitt inherited. We are clearly a top 25 quality team again that in itself is an accomplishment considering we went 0 and 8 in the SEC 3 years ago

No reason to get personal. I didn't say I wanted Kiffin as our coach but just stated my opinion that he's a better coach. Basement???LOL....you're the one who needs to grow up and develop some thick skin.

Ole Miss fans knew their boys left it all out there and didn’t embarrass themselves. Nothing wrong with having a Rocky 1 moment when you know your team is outgunned but never quit. It was a hell of a fight. PS ( I’m not an ole miss fan) and I hate LK.

Keeping it close? We got smoked. Again. We should not be losing this badly in year three. Period.

Are we going to do this every time another coach outperforms their talent? See Mike Leach

I can get behind appreciating when your team of kids plays their hearts out and still loses a game. However they should never be taught anything other than coming in second place simply means you're first loser.

Kiffin is an average coach at best, and his record at Ole Miss after 3 years will prove it. He’s been average everywhere he’s coached. In fact, his greatest accomplishment is his ability to keep getting good jobs when he’s done nothing special
