Which part? The Utah part? The BG part? The trophy case part? All of the above.
What's the record at UT since 05? Besides in 05, SC was irrelevant, and UT was still considered a power. The Vols still had talent; just lacked in the coaching dept.
in 05, there was a window when uf picked urban over ss and before steve went to sc. That also just happened to be the year cpf went 5-6. When kiffin bolted for usc, spurrier admitted that he would have taken the job in 05, but that it was too late for him to take another job now. We all witnessed what ss can do with some talent; as carolina played near flawless football---with some of the talent tenn used to pull from that state. We could have been sc today.
Give Dooley time. If all the haters are so impatient then why don't they enroll and suit up?!! Exactly. That's my official response to the those who want cry about the season. Five years from now it's not going to matter what the 2010 record was.
I am not hating on Dooley. I am merely making an observation---of what could have been---No Kiffin-and all the embarrassment THAT brought. A smoother transition from CPF to his replacemnt.
And if any of you don't think Spurrier could have won big at UT, well----go back to sleep.
I certainly remember a connection there. Maybe Foley was at Utah before taking the UF job. At any rate, they were buddies of sort---and as such, Spurrier was not even considered for the job. Off to Google.

Pass....for everyone that thinks the sky is falling please go check out Alabama's 2007 season-Saban's first year. We are in steps 1-3 of about a 10 step process. I wish we were on steps 8-10 just like everyone else, but we're not. This takes time. Personally I think 2012 will be a nice ride.
Just the notion of wanting to be like the chickens...
