New coach has not even set foot on campus yet and some clowns are already predicting his next job in 5 years, seriously where do these folks come from, they can't be alumni can they?

Maybe they are the callers on the Finebaum show, some strange people for sure.

Dickey left to coach Florida, then came back as AD and built a dynasty. I think it is a little far fetched to think that a life long coach would purposefully sabotage his biggest appointment yet, just to appease his alma mater. Just sayin.

You and the 7 current likes you have are idiotic. I don't like the hire, but this is a job. He won't get far in this profession if he has that attitude. I wonder if there were idiots calling Saban a Bengal tiger and saying her jump back to LSU at first chance.

There are seriously some questionable fans of this university.

Let's put it this way:

1.) If Jeremy Pruitt starts winning 7,8,9,10,11 games here, winning bowls and competing for championships, then leaves for his beloved Alabama, he's built a successful program out of this atrocious hot mess that coaches will start lining up around the block to interview for, and we'll be in a way better situation than we were this time.

2.) If Jeremy Pruitt loses 7,8,9,10,11 games here, then leaves for his beloved Alabama, you'll want to buy a pitchfork (retail price $23.64 at Walmart) and then meet the other 100,000 angry fans at Neyland Stadium to help him get there.

So basically what I'm saying is.....WHY WORRY ABOUT IT?

If he’s doing well enough that bama wants him back doesn’t that mean the VOLS are in great shape? As long as he doesn’t leave a dumpster fire then TN could replace him with a good coach. And I don’t see bama wanting him if it’s a dumpster fire!

Bama wants and will get Dabo, so we don't have to worry about that anyway. I highly doubt he will win at a level here that makes him attractive to Alabama anyway.

It cracks me up this people that don't like coaches because they aren't "from TN"...like seriously GTFO...that's some really old mentality...talk about having to drag from a shallow pool if that's all we can hire. Quick name the last TN "born and bred" coach to win a championship not named Fulmer....lol

Majors won an SEC title if that counts, but yeah point taken, it's not like we have a coaching lineage like Saban's in house to lean on.

Dabo...will be the Bama in waiting...its a bit premature to worry about Alabama stealing "our coach" lol.

I disagree with your statement about him winning...I think he has the ability and will recruit the talent to make us extremely competitive within a couple seasons.

One new SEC coach is coaching his team's bowl game rather than starting their job. One. Pruitt.

Chad Morris isn't staying for SMU. Jimbo Fisher isn't staying for FSU. Dan Mullen isn't staying for SMU. Joe Morehead isn't staying for PSU.

Josh Huepel isn't coaching Missouri's bowl. Jonathan Smith isn't coaching Washington's bowl. Willie Taggert isn't coaching Oregon's bowl.

These guys know that your loyalty lies with the new team and fixing the mess each program is in rather than trying to help a team they no longer have a connection with win anything. I don't want to hear about Kirby Smart either. He took over his 10 win alma mater that was in great shape.

We are an absolute crap show mega dumpster fire and have been for months. We need the coach here working a whole lot more than we need him out helping Bama win titles.

P.S Nick Saban did not coach Michigan State in their bowl game when he left for LSU. 100 percent about LSU from minute one.
