UT coach actively tries to help Bama win a championship

Hate Bama with a passion but I actually respect him more for finishing what he started with the kids he's been coaching.

So someone clarify for me, because I'm not wading through all of these posts. This was sarcasm, right?

Summary:

We don't want a proven winner and someone associated with a great program, coach and national titles simply because that association is with Bama.

TLDR we never should have fired Dooley

It's like so many of you don't understand the concepts of adults with careers.

Indeed. 2 weeks is common practice in most professions.

Coaching often sees immediate withdrawal.

he is the head coach at Ut. ACT like it.

he has prior commitments to them. We are the new comers. Kirby did the same thing and kirby went to his alma mater. Step back from the ledge. Him coaching will be great publicity for us.

👍

He was walking into a loaded roster, and more importantly wasn’t faced with an early signing period. Completely different situation

And next year Alabama fans will be moaning about a former Bama coach coaching against them and (hopefully) putting up a fight. Oh the irony. 🤣

I have no problem with this at all!

Completing job hired to do, rather than leaving when needed the most!

Absolutely disgusting.

Why anyone would be ok with this is absurd.

Tennessee expectations have fallen so low.

How did it work out for Alabama when they tried to hire within their die-hard alums? I get it and agree we need some folks in the program who bleed orange and truly love Tennessee..but to continue to throw Tee out there and think he would have been so much better of an option shows the ignorance that ESPN and the media uses against us so often.

Support the new coach and Go Vols!

Wouldn't a playoff, and another ring as a coach be a good sell to recruits?

No, no and NO!

18 years olds the world over know the long history of the Tenn/Bama rivalry. They would rather play for a loser that hates Bama than a winner at a great program that Tennessee fans would kill for to have the same level of success.
