Did you play sports growing up? I distinctly remember reciting the Lord's prayer before games and everyone speaking as quick as they can, almost mumbling. And then at the end we'd finish with an emphatic "yours FOREVER AND EVER AND EVER" then sprinting out of the locker room. I think reading the maxims is the same deal. They're hyped and ready to kick someone's ass.Sorry. Its just something Ive noticed for years. Just a pet peeve, thats all.
Tell me you’ve never been in a focused competitive mindset without telling me you’ve never been in a focused competitive mindset.Am I the only one who cringes at how the team recites the maxims? They always sound like theyre just in auto mode, trying to rush through them, saying them as fast as they can just to get it over with. No conviction in what they're saying whatsoever.
