UT and Vandy game will have huge national meaning.

If Vandy and UT win today there is a very good chance we both meet at end of the season with not only a playoff spot on the line for BOTH teams but also a spot in SECCG.

Vandy has a rough road with Missou and Texas(road) the next 2 games. But if they survive that with no more than 1 L they just have Auburn and Kentucky to overcome.
We have Oklahoma but its at Neyland and even at their worst Florida in the swamp is a problem maybe we break the streak this year? Florida looks bad this year until you look at their schedule its insane if its not the hardest schedule in that nation tell me what is? They have played 4 top 10 teams in a row. And still have UGA Ole Miss and UT on their schedule. They play Miss State this week and those guys are no joke. They had one cupcake game and EVERY other team on the schedule, but Kentucky, either is or has spent time in the top 25, mostly in the top 10 range. USF is currently 19 FSU was ranked and looking at their remaining schedule, likely will be ranked by the time they meet UF.

The rant about UF is because people are gonna look at their record and think they are way worse than they are. I dont think they are a good team but they are a dangerous one, proved by their win against Texas. Their loss to USF looks a lot less bad right now. I personalyl think every game after tonight are games we can win. Beating Bama and Florida on the road to me would be signature wins for CJH The wins we have against them at Neyland matter but beating them in their house is something we haven't done in 22 years 2003 is the last time we beat either of them in their house. Doing that would take this team to the next level I think.
Naaahhhh we are not that good as seen tonight

Respect the optimism and hope but, after tonight, I think we’re looking at a 7-5 team at best. What grates me is that Heupel will not make any changes when that happens. He’ll just carry on, not changing a thing, and not being surprised when things don’t improve.

No. TN will lose games before Vandy.

This place is going to come apart at the seams if Vandy is 9-2 and UT is 8-3 heading into that game. And don't laugh, it's very possible.

And UT would be trying to knock Vandy out of the Playoff...

Good Lord.

unles things improve quickly i don’t see us beating oklahoma or florida. If we loose one or both of those the vandy game won’t matter.

If UT only wins one more game, I pray it is this one. I truly can't stand that school's snotty prick fan base. Also, not wishing any lasting harm on the guy, I would very much like to see their little mouthy QB get hammered and embarrassed...

You're on crack....where do you see 3 more L's coming from? We played a bad game against a top 10 (now number 4) team, and now the sky is falling? IS the rest of our road easy? Nope, but every game we have left is very winnable. Could we slip against FL, or Oklahoma or Vandy? sure. All 3? No way. I do worry about the Florida and Oklahoma games at this moment but that could quickly change based on Saturday. I see Kentucky as our get-right game. We go in, drop 40 on them, handle Oklahoma and 3 weeks (a bye and buy) to prep for Florida.

Worst-case meltdown is 8-4. I honestly believe 10-2 is still very possible. CJH has a track record here.....his teams always bounce back after wins and rarely lose games to unranked teams. In fact all his losses to unranked teams but one (Arkansas last year) come with asterisks.
South Carolina loss....stallions*
Florida..swamp*
Pitt...refs*

In 5 years, we have only 4 losses to unranked teams. His other 11 losses came to teams in the top 14 (mostly top 10). In those 5 years of him being our coach where have you seen his teams show signs of melting down after a loss? We played a bad game against Bama... its over next game.

I am going to go out on a limb and make a prediction. We will both still be nationally ranked in the Top 25 with a possible playoff berth on the line and ESPN College Gameday will be in Knoxville for that game.
