One thing is certain. Sports radio in the state of Tennessee will never have a shortage of subjects or listeners, as long as the two ring circus currently known as Tennessee Football and Basketball exists. I suppose this makes MH the ring master.

I sure miss the discipline of Coach Kevin O"Neil and David Cutcliff and the class / maturity of athletes such as Chris Lofton, Wes Brown and Eric Berry just to name a few.

It's no wonder Tennessee has been referred to as the new Miami by many out there, and that perception is only growing after the past couple months. Embarrassing to all former and current alumni, students and fans.

golly gee mister.... your sure go back a long way... hmmmm he he he he .... Kevin Oneil couldn't discipline himself he couldn't say two words without cussing a fan or player and he left us for NWestern so whats your grip

I think the views of most people can become more than reality. I mean this could be considered only more significant because of past cases with the FB players. However, you are are correct ones reputation and honor can help when things are bad. The more we lead ourselves down the path of sleeping with dogs the more likely we will be view to be flea bitten and not respected. However, what is more of a concern is the lack of control in which I do not how one controls a scholarship athlete student better than an scholarship academic student without discrimination.

Huh? 2 of 3 of your examples were on this team... and Coach Pearl was Chris Lofton's coach.

As far as Kevin O'Neill goes, by the way you talk about him, you must not have been paying attention when he was coaching here. The guy was a jackass, and admitted as much when we played USC.

You obviously missed the point. I wasn't talking about the coaches themselves but the discipline they instilled in their players on and off the court. You did not see O'Neil's or Cutcliffs players in the knid of trouble we see from the current bunch. Try reading what's posted instead of drawing your own conclusions maybe then you will have a clue.

It sounds like you need to find a new team, dont let the door hit you on the ass. And dont be jumping back on the bandwagon when we are at the top again soon.

First of all, it's O'Neill and Cutcliffe...

Secondly have you ever heard of The Fulmer Cup?
It's basically a contest to see who gets the most players arrested for the worst offenses during the offseason.

We have 2 bad events happen in an entire calendar year involving players, resulting in the dismissal of the guilty parties and Kiffin suddenly lacks the discipline of the previous regime?

You couldn't walk through half the UT football players' apartments from about 2002-2008 without tripping over an ounce of weed. Half those guys were slinging too...
You think its a coincidence that Brent Vinson was a witness to a shooting over some pot, and that he couldn't hack it? Or that Ramar Smith was questioned for similar events only a few days apart? Or that so many players were kicked off the team or left before the season started? That is what the culture of the UTAD became for the better part of a decade. How could we reasonably require a guy to fail FOUR drug tests to kick him off the team? Jesus, how did anyone actually manage to fail four times?

Right now you have an NFL coaching staff that is 100% business, and won't play nice with kids that are screwing up(and by proxy screwing over their team)... and won't be taken advantage of the way Phillip Fulmer was.

As far as the Kevin O'Neill/Bruce Pearl thing... I don't know what the hell you are talking about. If you are just pissed off because USC beat us, then get over it... but outside of Ramar Smith's stupid antics I haven't seen anything in Coach Pearl's teams to indicate that they're anything worse than a basketball team that actually has fun playing... unlike the teams under O'Neill.

OMG! You are so right! It wasn't like Albert Haynesworth wasn't stopped with a led pipe in his hand looking to beat on a teammate, or Dustin Moore kicked off the team for Weed issues. I'm sure I can waste 2 hours of my life and find several more players that were dismissed or arrested for kids being kids.. The first 2 weeks that Kiffin was named coach, he was going to classrooms and seeing if his players were there. not a conclusion just fact. I could care less if he is arrogant and cocky, he has proven that this staff is here to coach players. If we had last years staff still here. People would'nt be griping about losing a bowl game, because we would not have been in one...Oh did I happen to mention James Banks?

And what would an assistant coach have to do with anything? Are you seriously implying that Cutcliffe himself prevented us from having problem players? I'm pretty sure I recall Dewayne Dotson, Reggie Cobb, Nilo Silvan all having issues, and you didn't qualify your Cutcliffe relationship to these events based on him being an offensive coordinator, because Cutcliffe coached other positions here for a long while before that. Wasn't Coker kicked off the team during Cutcliffe stint #2?

I agree that things are not going so well right now but we are from the new "U".....Give me a break.....Seriously, even saying that we are that bad off the field is ridiculous....Those guys at Miami were thugs and they embraced, the actions of a few are turning some parts of the fan base against everybody.....I know not everyone has done things to the degree that these kids have but they are kids and not one person on here has done something that they wish they hadn't...Get off your high horse

If you think drama is limited to Tennessee, you need to get out more. I listened to a local show this morning and for a solid hour they discussed the deal at TT and Urban Meyer.

People used to make fun of housewives watching soap operas. Well, let me tell ya, there is every bit as much drama in college football, including the crazies, the prima donnas, the know it alls, the good guys and the bad guys. It's all there.

What's so funny about this whole ordeal is this doesn't even involved the football team in any way shape or form.....People act like the sky is falling
