Excellent W for you last night. I say your magic number is five for the coveted 20 wins. Let's say you need four in the regular season. Your remaining games are:

at Florida
LSU
Vandy
Kentucky
at S Carolina
Alabama
at Arkansas
Florida
at Georgia

Going to be a very tough chore, but doable. Particularly the home games, of course. You have five of those. Figure you win three of them, means you need to steal one on the road. I'm thinking either the SC or UGA games. UGA game at end of regular season could tell the tale.

Next up, what is with the SECW? I'd love to say that they are just beating up on each other, but reality is they are losing a lot to the SECE teams.

Right now, the SECW leader is Auburn (14-9, 4-4). Everyone else is below .500 in the SEC. Look at LSU -- 13-8 and just 2-5 in conference. They were supposed to be good!

Why did you not say we could steal one in Fla.?:eek:hmy:

IMO Tennessee will win the following games:

Vandy
Kentucky
S. Carolina
Alabama
Georgia

they have a shot to beat LSU, FLa once and possibly Arkansas. I just hope the Vols go 8 and 8, if so the Vols are in the tourney.

Roads woes are hitting everyone except FL and KY. But I think their time is coming for road struggles. FL road wins are against the patsies (MSU, AU, and USC), they have the tough part coming up. (and yes, I realize we lost at AU - which I still can't believe after being up what, 25?)

There are only 12 road wins total in the SEC so far (9 in the SECE).

UT should win all 5 home games and really, really needs a road win for the selection committee. It will look bad to not have any conference road wins for seeding which is where we sit now.

Because I don't think it is realistic. Possible? Sure, particularly your home game. I'm just saying if I'm circling four more potential regular season wins, those are probably the last ones I consider.

Alabama might need that game to have a shot to get in. Vanderbilt, what an enigma. I happen to think they are pretty good, myself. And they are playing to their potential right now. But they do have a habit of fading like cheap paint, so it remains to be seen.

I'm really telling it like I think it is. Not rubbing noses (Lord knows that, as a Gator fan, I know what it is to be on the other side of that coin).

You're only saying that because they hammered UF in the first half last night and the officials did them in in the second. UF was clearly the better team, but that pile of technicals following an absolutely atrocious call (and I mean frickin' atrocious like not even close) ended the night for Vandy. UF did shoot well in the second half, but even then Vandy stayed there until the end.

Vandy coaches and players are saying that Florida simply switched gears and took over in the second half. Even they aren't blaming that slew of T's.

But, yeah, Vandy is for real. I'll try to watch your game with them with great interest.

After reading your post, I have never wanted to beat fl more. You say 3 @ home, yet we have yet to be beat at home. I am not saying we wont, but for you to chalk it up a W for you is rediculous.

If it were reversed I would do the same thing.

This is why the idea of an upset is so appealing.

Of course you want to pull the upset. A lot of people want you to pull the upset. Folks in Wisconsin, California, Ohio, and Kansas, will be rooting for you to beat Florida.

O you mean the one point loss we had, was not aware

Just saying that OSU beat us and UF beat OSU like a drum (as you implied). Doesn't bode well for us faring better than OSU.

That said, I like our chances of keeping it a closer game, even to the point of discomfort for unathletic nerdy type fans like LG.
