Do you guys think the powers that be realize how much of an embarrassment this has been nationally? Do you think they’re so tone deaf that it’s not resonating with them that every sports outlet in the free world is either mocking our AD or are saying the fans deserve better? I’m asking in all seriousness because one thing I’ve learned is never assume they have any common sense or see anything close to what we see.

I don't think they care as long as they get their way.

That article just posted about Butch not getting money for coaches tells you how committed the admin is to sports at UT. It's worse than I imagined.

Totally out of touch with the fanbase. Shiano first choice? I can't get past that move, especially since he was chosen as soon as it looked like Butch would be fired. Kept a time bomb in his back pocket thinking the problem was solved for everyone.

My belief is that Davenport and Depietro are academia types that could care less about athletics other than the money it brings in. Unfortunately these people know so little about athletics that they don;t realize that the money dries up when athletics isn't very good. Many in the academia crowd are also anti-athletics and love to tear down athletics.

Go to the source Jimmy Haslam. Start there and end there.

If the FIB were investigating me, I don't think I'd be so concerned about UT Athletics.. talk about ego

So Davenport or DiPietro have no idea that Currie and Haslam are the two most hated men in Tn?

They really don’t feel like “WOW.....we’re phucccckkked”

What else can they do? They **** the bed on Schiano, the rest has been hapless flailings and pitiful attempts at damage control. They know we need a coach, but everyone sees us as a village of idiots now. They put all their money on Schiano and had no backup plan whatsoever. They have no choice but to keep trying to find someone with a pulse to take this job.

I am starting to wonder if we can’t just use the supercomputer in Oak Ridge to call plays.
