UT a 4 point favorite in Gainesville

3 W's and 17 L's is just shameful. Let's hope that Saturday starts the turnaround, but I'm not going to hold my breath. Florida has lot of talent that has been terribly coached.

Well said! I'm not either. Like you said, they have talent all over the field. They were just horribly coached. I'm hoping last week shut them down mentally, but not counting on it.

I have often wondered how and why Florida has been able to get inside of Tennessee's head. The all-time record is something like 32-21 Florida.

It’s just a mental thing between the two programs regardless of the players. In recent history we have been their Kentucky. Pull off a win occasionally, but generally they just come into the game expecting to win. I don’t think I’ve ever gone into the week of the Kentucky game thinking that we would actually lose. I’ve been surprised a handful of times over the last 30+ years but typically we take care of business. Same scenario, just the opposite with Florida.

Will Overstreet spoke about this the week of the Kentucky game. He basically said they always expected to beat Kentucky and even the one time they went down 21-0 in Lexington, the guys in the huddle weren’t panicking and knew they’d come back and win. It’s just the same general feel they have toward us.

If they play like they did with Ole Miss, we are in trouble.
To me they seemed like the defense ran out of gas late in the third quarter and their offense didn't come out of the locker room at half but I was only flipping to it here and there. Seems like they've been doing that a lot. Correct me if I'm wrong on that one.

I will say, everyone seems to play their best game against us, in conference play anyhow. That's concerning me a bit for this one.

They will feast if our secondary continues to play like they're trying out for women's volleyball. I just pray those guys tighten up on that soft coverage, angles, and wrapping up. They do those things, I like our chances in the swamp.

Win by 1 or 100, I don't care. Please, just win.

When I run the raw numbers -vs- SEC opponents, home / away, etc., I come up with UF 31-30. This takes into account 1 head-scratcher of an INT by UT, and the defense doing what it does best against a QB with a pulse. Also figured the defense would get a takeaway against Lagway to keep it close.

The line means nothing to me. There's a Voodoo doll of UT somewhere in BHG Stadium. Until the Vols exorcise that demon, it's UF at home. 31-30.

Win this one, and I'll order my 7-5 sandwich from Crowburgers.com

lorida Linebacker Aaron Chiles says that the Gators are making this week’s game against Tennessee “personal” and calls for the Gators to beat the Vols:

“We’re willing to make it personal, it being a rivalry game,” said Chiles on Monday. “That’s the standard going into this week. I’m looking forward to staying to that standard and making it 11 straight.”

No. 23 Tennessee travels to Gainesville on Saturday with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 PM ET.

Do you think the Vols come out with a win?
Whoa! Already talking trash!

Getting 4 points with Florida in Gainesville feels like an early Christmas present for those that like to "play the ponies." Id like to say we go down and take care of business against GATA, but I'm old enough to know that wins in Gainesville are about as rare as hens teeth.
Don’t take the bait. I’ve seen this movie before.

Gave you a like for the “old enough” comment. Hope the boys get it done. I’m cautiously optimistic.
