Looks like yesterday's news brought some money down on NCSU.

Vegas consensus line moved from Vols -4 to Vols -3.5.

Technically Vegas didn't move the line - the people betting the game did. Probably a bunch of people jumped on the Pack and the Points once the news broke.

I'm not familiar with betting lines. Does this mean we are a 3.5 favorite or underdog?

When talking about a line in general,

- points go to the home team
+ points go to the visitor

So the line being at -3.5 would suggest NCSU is favored 3.5 points lol

But the fact that it's worded UT -3.5 vs NCSU would suggest it's intended to be UT favored.

- means favored to win, basically

Its all on Bray now -- will he be tossing them deep or stick to short passes in the LB area ? more than 1 int. could be a killer IMO

The line was already at -3.5 prior to this, I know, I check everyday.

Yeah but that also depends on which oddmaker you're looking at. A half point here and there may mean money, but it only means money with whatever oddmaker you're placing bets with. I'd say that a half a point is acceptable 'error', if you wanna call it that, between oddsmakers. In otherwords, not everyone that decides the odds works in Vegas, not all of them work at USA Today, etc. Just a thought.

Line was already 3.5. Surprised they didn't take it offline for a day.

No need to take it offline. Before yesterday, the betting trend was 70% on UT. After yesterday. the trend dropped to 48% NCSU and 52% Vols.

Actually, they liked the day very much.

I don't like it either.

I really like SC -7 vs Vandy.

I don't think Vandy is going to sneak up on the Ol' Ball Coach this year.
I think the OBC is gonna teach Franklynn a life lesson in this game. 35 point beatdown.
