USC(left coast, as if that needs an explanation?) and LSU?

USC by far should be #1.

They are loaded and could possibly have the #1 Defense next year.

Arkansas should not be ahead of us. That is rediculous. There is also no way that Florida should be ranked #3

yes that horrible west coast bias that consistantly over ranks notre dame, iowa, ohio state, florida, miami, florida state, syracuse (back when they were mediocre), michigan, and texas. Damn those media types giving press to those west coast teams!!!!!

hmmmm.....what does that say for your post?

It has nothing to do with my post. Only that young talent with little experience doesn't neccessarily equall a good football team. If you're going to argue that point you are going to lose.

your "doesn't necessarily" qualifier makes you right regardless. youth is often the excuse of fans whose teams are losing more often than they should.

The statistics favor my side of the argument. Why exactly do you think the number of returning starters is important?

Why in the hell does the Big East have 2 top 5 teams? I would love for Tennessee to play a team like WV or Louisville.

louisville and west virginia i'm content with, although i think the mountaineers are somewhat overrated. the other 3 are the ones i disagree with.

i'm not saying usc won't do great things this year. i guess im just not sold on them as a #1. the thing that i guess got me is the tiger's ranking. lsu should NOT be #2. In no way shape or fashion.

I'm not 100% positive, but I think he meant that it was the left coast USC, not the right coast USC... which doesn't need any explanation.

how? louisville and WVU both are loaded for the big east and will romp through it.

Louisville and WVU benefit from playing in a weak conference. The talent is fine, but it's nowhere close to that of the top-level teams in the SEC.

Over the past 5 years, neither Louisville or WVU have had a recruiting class in the top 25...and both schools have only had 1 five-star recruit over the same 5-year period.

From 2003-2007, West Virginia's average national recruiting class ranking was 43rd...Louisville's was 44th.

Neither of those teams are among the 5 best teams in the country...but, based on their schedule, they'll both have a shot at a BCS bowl.
