Yes! I'm telling you right now...there has been a shift. The powers that be in admin want this University to be known for it's academic prowess FAR MORE than anything that takes place on that football field. Vanderbilt of the east! I'm out.

Turn in your VOL card on the way out the door.

but this program is TOAST for many years to come! The level of ineptitude from the VERY TOP on down in regards to this football program over the last 15 plus years has burned this program to the ground! Totally self inflicted! This administration has absolutely ABUSED this fan base. The whole situation makes me sick!
It’s dead. The NCAA limbo alone will be as bad as the penalties. 5 year wilderness is what they’re about to embark on.

Where are you “out” too? Are you gonna be a Bama fan now?
Let's break down the film...

Where are you "out" too (adverb, in addition, also)? Didn't read the play correctly; similar to a safety smelling an off-tackle run, but the play action catches him flat-footed with a receiver running unchecked down the seam for an easy TD. NOTE - this could be attributed to the ever-present, but seldom helpful AutoCorrect function. In the spirit of brotherhood, let's assume the latter.

Where are you "out" to (preposition, expressing motion in the direction of a particular location)? This was it! Using a terminal preposition is a bold move my man!

Hey Strange! I'm all in on biscuits with butter, gravy, jelly, apple butter....you name it

Don’t get me wrong I love good biscuits. Love biscuits with blackberry jam or strawberry jam, also love with butter and honey....and Love biscuits with fried chicken.

However and not sure why, for breakfast....I prefer toast......unless it’s just a sausage biscuit....I mean that’s better than just toast and sausage.

I think some perspective is needed.

The University of Tennessee is an educational institution that owes absolutely nothing to "this fan base" other than education. Football and all sports collectively are secondary to Freshman English and any other academic endeavor. In fact, football and all sports owe their very existence to the university's educational presence.

Depends if we make a home run hire at HC. Making a home run hire is not based on the current perception of the HC candidate but W/L after he takes control.

You can't backtrack. You live on the toast Hill and you must die on the toast Hill

Yea

I do

Never said I didn’t like biscuits....I do. I prefer toast......especially for a “normal” breakfast.
I eat toast when we're too lazy to make homemade biscuits or if I'm at a restaurant for breakfast and I ask are the biscuits homemade and they say no, then I will have toast.

Just think if OP hadn't said that the program is TOAST, this debate would have never happened 😂

Of course "academics" is and should be a focus...but don't think for a SECOND that the football program isn't the face of that University! I can't stand Alabama, but ask their admin how beneficial it is to have a big time football program...from a financial standpoint AND record enrollment numbers! There's not a more passionate fanbase in the country. The Bama administration will go at any length to protect and promote their football program! SEC football carries a passion like no other. This program has sunk the boat!

I'll say this....they better not settle for a home run. They need a Grandslam hire at this point!

Agreed that there is not significant benefit to "packaged" biscuits, but you can get so much more good stuff absorbed in a home made biscuit over toast.

The problem is that there is legitimate risk of having a generation of futility. If you were 8 in 2001, you are (or are going to be) 28 years old. If this doesn’t get fixed in the next 5 years, you’re going to have 33 year olds and younger who’ve never seen or have no real memory of Tennessee being any good.

And that’s where it gets worrisome about how this can be turned around or if the program is “dead”

For some reason, when I was a kid, my parents loved sawmill gravy and toast occasionally. I still have nightmares about it.

Yes, this is the same as a 3 year death penalty. Let's shut down the program like SMU did and start new in 2024

Last part: Very true.....I just couldn’t resist using the toast reference.

My wife makes a lot of biscuits....and I eat them......most of the time I love them.
