USCjr fans talking crap

No place like Charleston, history, architecture, grace, beauty, marshes and beaches...but we ain't got no Krystal burgers...lol.

I love Charleston and I'm happy here--the place my kids grew up and lived--but there is no place like Knoxville either. I love that town--not lived there since college days, but a very special place. It's just different. Steve Earle said it's where the old south meets the rust belt. I think he's right.

I lived on James Island for a year when I was 5. Very fond memories.

I was thinking of getting a small winter home in Mount Pleasant. Do you feel that is a safe/good area?

Mt. Pleasant is the greatest place in America if you're an ocean person. It's where I live. Very upscale. Extremely high quality of living place, but pricey.

Having said that, come on down. You'll love it here, except possibly July through September -- heat and hurricanes. If you decide to, let me know. We'll grab a beer and I'll give you some local tips. There is a nice Vol Alumni chapter here that meets for all games.

I mean.. They aren't wrong.

If JG starts this game and plays most of it then they will win easily.

It's just the way it is. We've seen enough of JG to know he doesn't have what it takes to play QB in the SEC.

You can't sugar coat it anymore. I'm sorry.

Nice call. LOL.

Nice call. LOL.

To be fair, JG didn't start the game. And didn't play most of it.

JG had a couple of good drives. I'll give him that. After the refs bent us over and Pruitt and Co. got in the huddle and dialed up a TD to Jennings. Priceless. Probably best play of JGs career as a VOL.

But who knows how the game would have went if JG finished the game. All we can do is speculate.

Luckily though we started playing aggressive and slinging the ball down field after halftime. Shrout looked great and Maurer should be back soon. Glad Chaney finally started playing to win with the play calling.

Everyone played a great game. And coaches coached a great game. This was one of our best games in a long time.

So are SC fans still talking crap????

They were awfully quiet walking out of the stadium, that's for sure. They see the writing on the wall and we're coming back.
They see that their AD Ray Tanner is South Carolina's version of Mike Hamilton and that he has stuck them with a horrible head football coach who has such a high buyout that they can't afford to fire him before 2021

I refuse to call them USCjr, they are UofSC, they had to change their name several years ago due to the real USC. To put them in the same class as USC is just wrong, too much history with Southern Cal.

agreed AND they aren't CAROLINA either.....i don't like UNC, but they are an older school, been more successful in sports and earned the moniker IMHO. For many years SC had never been called Carolina, but gradually they picked up the name...kinda like UK putting checkerboards on their football unis. maybe its's easier to say but it ain't right

Charleston is nice, but I'd give about anything for a Krystal burger about now. We suck on chains--too many froo-froo restaurants.

Jack's Cosmic and Johnny's Dogs in Mt Pleasant at least have some good hot dogs with homemade chili...like you, I'm still looking for a good cheap burger, though.

Sesame(Mt, P) and Rutledge Cab Co.(downtown) have a half-price burger deal on Monday. Poe's(SI) is always solid.
