That’s why you play the game to find out if you are truly worthy of the spot it shouldn’t be taken away from you before you get the chance to play it. I just think you can’t penalize a team that should get a spot due to them having a injury. It should be strictly the field that decides it. Injuries are a part of the game and it just gives the committee to much latitude to split too many hairs with injuries. Opens up a can of worms. Keep it on the field.Until the South Carolina game, I would have said three SEC teams was on the table, or at least not insane to consider. UT shot themselves in the foot on that one.
I get that, but honestly, is this team the same team it was with Hooker? Like I said, I’m not sure about that. The thumping, both the score and when it happened in the schedule, SCar gave UT really made that a moot point.
