His experience isn't that much dissimilar to Lincoln Rileys.

The knock I would have for Tee isnt a knock against him. It would be more of protection of him.

I would not want him ran off if he were to lose a few games and I don't believe some fans would let him lose one next year. Especially after seeing what was on the field this year.

Heck, I could see Tee and Peyton not liking each other equally. I get it. However, Peyton signed off big time on Butch and Schiano.... Enough for me to go against anything he says.

He's not ready because he's never been good enough compared to Peyton for a subset of fans. In spite of being the one who won the Title, actually has coached in college, and is a proven recruiter.

Peyton, obviously the better QB. Tee's always been more than just good enough, we are lucky to have him, but some will never admit that.

He just happened to be the QB when Al Wilson & UT won a National Championship.

He needs to prove he can run a program and win

If gundy doesn't happen. (I honestly don't think it will) Tee needs to be the next guy they contact. Payton needs too swallow his pride and get Tee.

At first I thought it was a crazy idea to get Tee as a head coach. But the more I learn about him and ex-UT players liking him, maybe he would be a good HC. I am sure it would take him a couple of years to learn the "stuff" of being a head coach (to even function). But maybe in fours or five years he could be winning the BIG games? For sure he knows how to recruit. Now, does to know where to find a great staff that would work for him?

This job is for someone who knows what they are doing, fast. Tee would be fried quicker than Butch because patience is gone.

He was 100% right to turn it down the last time. Didn’t want to work for Sgt Carter and didn’t like the lowball offer. Don’t blame him. He’s done great things since then at SC. I’d be thrilled if we named him our new coach. Jmo.
