What USC fans? A ranting message board? He’s got the 10-12th best rated offense in the country and has put multiple players under his tutelage in the NFL. The three different staffs that retained him? Think about that Kiffin hired him- Sarkisiab made it clear that Martin was a must, and then Helton retained him and named him OC. Right. Terrible hated guy.

I still say Tee should be the guy. Don't understand the problem with hiring him. His offense has better than average numbers, and he's a recruiter like no other. He gets a few good assistants... he would have us improved year one...

I've heard his wife wants to stay in Cali for her singing career, but this is a head coaching gig at his alma mater. If his wife truly gave a sh!t about Tee's career or he truly wears the pants in the family, then she should and would let him pursue his dream to be a HC, especially at the school where is he is a beloved legend and champion. Hell, if it wasn't for Tee's job and money, I doubt should would have been able to pursue her dream. U would think if she was going to make it big, she would have done it by now.

Stop this sh*t show, and go get Tee Martin! They say he isn't ready, hell we aren't ready for a big time coach evidently! Our AD is a moron. Throw whatever you got to throw out him, and get Tee!

I want to know why Tee isn't ready to become a head coach. Please, someone tell me. We're to the point where we're probably going to have to make a risky hire. Why not hire a guy that is a winner, a proven commodity, an excellent recruiter, and a VFL?

He wasn't on my list two days ago, but circumstances have changed. I'd be very happy with this hire.

Mark Richt, Bob Stoops, David Shaw, James Franklin, Bill OBrien, Lincoln Riley, Kirby Smart, Dan Mullen, Steve Sarkisian, Phil Fulmer, Clay Helton, Gary Patterson, Dabo Swinney, Pat Fitzgerald, Chip Kelly...

All would disagree

All coordinators hired by a power conference school and went above expectations.

This is the same guy who claimed last year that Dobbs was the weak link on our team and we should go with Dormady. Why are you right this time when all you did was b#tch about the one guy who literally carried our offense in 2015/16 in spite of the shortcomings of our staff?

Worked at Georgia twice Oklahoma twice Miss State penn State Vandy Stanford Clemson Tennessee (Fulmer) USC Washington.

.... but major powers never hire coordinators....

What can we do with facts. He has to be an assistant until he's 60....then he will be ready. But he will be too old then...plus he hates TN because he lives and works in California. His wife hates TN too....hell, he hates the letter T. He signs his name ee Marin.

Dabo had 11 years Coordinator experience before being named a HC...Tee has 11 years Experience as well....whats the difference. I can't put my finger on it.

Tee is a true first rate champion in all that he does.

To put him terms of Dooley and Butch is an absolute disgrace to Tee and VolNation.

It would be an honor to have Tee as our next HC and he owes us nothing.

We need to face the fact that we are not getting an "elite" coach nor is our program considered "elite" by anyone outside of VN. We are not getting a big name or a "proven" head coach. The fact we settled for Schiano proves that (so happy we got that deal vetoed). Our UTAD is clearly incompetent and quite frankly I have zero faith in our AD's ability to deliver what we need in a coach.

Honestly I think Tee can our Dabo. Similar resumes but Dabo was only an OC for 1 year. I also believe he can bring stability to our program since he will have the support of all former players and is beloved by VN.

At this point what do we have to lose. Take a risk with a mid major who is doing "okay" at a P 5 school now or support one of our own.

Should be an easy choice.

He's as ready as any other major school coordinator or mid major head coach. Give him a contract with incentives instead of free buyout money and see if he can earn it. I think he can do it.

This is my thought exactly.

Tee as HC, let him hire a big time staff. I trust his offensive prowess’s.

Bring in big time DC, great to have Steele or Chavis back.

If you give him money to hire a big time staff, he will do just fine. It will unite the fans but more importantly it will unite the VFLs and we need them back on board and around the program more.

He will have resources like Fulmer to lean on.

Is it Tee's offense? The head coach is a former oc and I read (at least last year) that Tee didn't call plays on 3rd down. Not sure he has enough experience as a coordinator to be head guy.

We need Tee because we need the VOLS to retake everything associated with this program. Tee will circle the wagons on a program that is reeling.

I'll take Tee trying his very best and putting all of his energy into the program (along with every other Vol that will come home to help) for however long we'll have him.

"Oh but he won't win us 9 games in his first season, waaahh!"

He's our best option. He's sitting right there for us to take him. It's a solution that has written itself and we're idiots if we don't do this.

I dont think Tee would take the Tennessee job because of his wife. Although she really hasnt done anything in music for awhile so who knows? I would love for Tee to come to Tennessee.
