If UT offers and Tee says no, what then? I would like to think Tee would jump at the opportunity, but if he doesn't, would that mean this sh!t show has hit a new low?

When Smart was first hired I laughed at the decision. Who hires another Saban assistant? Who hires some young guy with no head coaching experience? Boy was I wrong. Kirby has Georgia looking elite in just his second season. He's an excellent recruiter. He knows Georgia. Fan base identifies with him. They trust him. They know as a alum he will do everything he can for the program.

I think we need something similar. We need someone with Tennessee ties. We need someone who bleeds orange and will give his all for Tennessse. We need an awesome recruiter. We need someone players can identify with.

Tee Martin should be our main focus now after this fiasco. But John Currie must be fired first. And the Haslams banned. Then we can get Fulmer to hire Tee and introduce him as our new head coach.

We need Tee Martin.

The bottom may have been hit, or we may still be looking for the bottom. Problem with hitting the bottom, you don’t know you’ve hit it until things improve.

You go get Mike Leach. He should have been hired on Saturday. He is a winner and would relish the opportunity to bring UT back to the top. He needs a chance.

why would he? I can think of at least 4 million reasons why he would say yes. He's also on the record stating TN is the only other program than USC that he loves.

He is going to say no. His wife loves California. Since Cutcliffe just turned us down, we are moving down to the tier 3 and 4 coaches. If they turn us down, then its time to promote an assistant.

There is no way we offer Tee the HC job except as a last ditch option. He just isn't ready to be a HC at a big name football school.

As I understand it, Tee's family isn't very fond of Tennessee, and Tee himself is happy where he is.

I get there has been a lot of negativity from the events that transpired yesterday, but I still find it alarming that we cannot attract a coach to lead our football program. I would think if we offered someone $5-6 million that would at least cause them to listen to us. I know there is no faith in the AD, but we do have a great fanbase, resources, and facilities. Plus it is not like the fanbase was revolting against any coach that would be named, we will rally behind the next guy. We are revolting against the AD because we are tired of them making the decisions that are ruining our football program.

Why?
What has he accomplished? He had a preseason heisman front runner and what?
Nothing he has done tells me he would succeed. USC fans I know can’t stsnd him and actually want him gone. He isn’t that respected there. Alumni status doesn’t make him a better coach,

I doubt we ever offered Cut. Just like the false info about offering Kelly. My first call would be to Les Miles. We probably get maybe 6-8 years at the most but he would have us competitive day 1. Then Brohm.

Well said. People posting bring on Brohm, Cut, Sumlin, Norvell etc don’t realize ...... we’re not getting a solid coach with a resume. We’re way the hell past those names.
