Am I missing something? I heard from many that South Carolina is a hands down favorite to beat us next year, and some are even predicting that they will beat Florida and win the East. Yes, I am talking about the same South Carolina team that we dominated 31-13 last year on Halloween. Yes, I am also talking about the same South Carolina team that got completely shutdown by a mediocre UConn team in the bowl game. How do they jump from the bottom to the top like that? I haven't heard about them getting any amazing talent this year that could come in and help them win games. Marcus Lattimore seems like a good player but that was the only headliner. On top of that, they lost their best player (Norwood). Will someone explain this to me? What have I missed? GBO!

They have to play Florida in Gainesville this year I believe, no way they pull that off.

Go look at their offensive players and their OC (SOS) and tell me they won't have an offense that puts up tons of points.

I have many friends back home in South Carolina, and form what I hear this will not be a Carolina team the rest of the country has seen in years past.

If USC doesn't do it this year, I don't think they ever will. This season is the best opportunity for them with questions with UT, UGA, and even some at UF. I know USC won't beat all three, but 2/3 could be a possibility for them. Just mho.

Am I the only one that hears this year in and year out? Every year since Steve Suckier has been there has supposed to be USC's breakout year and it never happens.

Explain your reasoning... I dont want to hear about our team. I want you to explain to me how THEIR team is going to beat us.

The Carolina fans I know say they will not be sleeping on Tennessee by any means, BUT if they beat us it will be because of their experience.

Spurrier's best year was his first year, which is what lead to outrageous expectations for his coaching career at USC. In the end of the day, people are still forgetting it's South Carolina. I'll never buy into this hype until I see the results.

Honestly, I don't follow SC close enough to know any straight solid reason why they should beat us, but I think if they do it will be because of

1. Its on the road

2. Most of our team is inexperienced

but, people have to remember that IMO, low expectations can be a good thing. I say this because I believe that the players know this, and they will do whatever it takes to prove us wrong.

I can tell you this, I was at the Orange and Blue game last week and I heard more about UT then I did Florida. The Florida fans have more optimism about our team then some fans here... They seemed very impressed by Dooley's way of doing things... Of course we will not be able to compete for the East, but I think we should be able to go bowling,IMO

^ This! People are saying we will lose this and that. South Carolina will win this and that. IMO every team in the East is going to have a down year by there standards and that it is a rebuilding year and maybe South Carolina can capitalize, but it was once said "thats why they play the game." I won't believe they will beat us until the clock hits 00:00 on Oct. 30 and they have more points then us, because until that time comes it will just be a bunch of speculation. Everyone needs to put a smile on your face and go to the stadium with a positive mind because even though we may have a young QB and o-line we still have an outside shot to win each game we play. Remember, those boys have to put their pants on like the rest of us, one leg at a time!

We're way worse than we were on Halloween. They were really young, plus they added Lattimore. They'll beat us...

They have these next two years to actually accomplish something. If they can't, they may as well not try anymore.
