USATODAY lists a thread on Volnation as one of the five most "irrational message board threads".

Misery Index Week 7: Anguish in Athens

Apparently, USA Today does not see this beat down as hurting our recruiting (and sees the suggestion that it would as pretty irrational).

This is actually a pretty good article that calls out UGA for the Kirby hire and the loss to Vandy.

The article also discusses our loss in the misery index and chances down the stretch the rest of the season:

Tennessee: By the end of their 49-10 loss to Alabama, the Vols’ defense was a shell of its former self. The injuries on that side of the ball started early this season and haven't slowed down, which leaves the Vols now very vulnerable in their quest to get to the SEC championship game. They should — we stress should — win out to go 10-2, which would be a tremendous season. But to get another shot at Alabama, they’ll need Florida to lose somewhere along the line, which will make fans nervous the next few weeks especially given the injury situation.

I couldn't agree more. We have soooo many people on here with low football IQ's blasting off at the mouth. Unfortunately it's fans like these that make the most noise. It really sends an embarrassing message as a fan base.

I love the internet, all you have to do is start name calling when someone disagrees with you.

We're on the same team, everyone here wants Tennessee to succeed. You're gonna have to accept that there are going to be others that have different opinions than you. This isn't communist China.

I love Tennessee and the VOLS, always will.
Got to agree with USA Today here. So many times I check out Volnation and see the ridiculous, immature statements made here about our teams and coaches. Often a lot of good info and insight on Volnation. But a lot of the negativity is embarrassing and unfounded.

Go VOLS!

What the hell is the talk about the SEC game about? You can't beat alabama and you don't even care to. You don't even belong on the field with alabama. What is the point? Why are you even playing if you will never beat alabama? Why are we continuing to support organizations that continue to profit off our college football team fanbase if all they want is us to get on the field with alabama...and we have NO interest in playing alabama !@!

I'm sure that everyone would agree that there are a lot of outlandish things that get said on volnation.com. But I for one don't use major news outlets as a standard for rationality. I think it's nice that everyone can get on this forum and say what they think short of threatening people and others are free to respond in like kind.

Yeah, far crazier stuff has been asked and posted after the Bama game. Some of my favs are the reasons for the injuries. Nike equipment. Even the team's nutritionist, as if eating more veggies prevents sprained ankles.

Just because you have a differing opinion does not mean you are right good sir. There are many out there that confuse emotion with fact and what makes them dangerous is they can't tell the difference.

In a public forum you will have the good as well as the bad, hopefully the majority will be the good. One thing we have consensus agreement on is we hate losing and we're sick and tired of being sick and tired. :yes:
