I don't disagree, but most times his initial "punch" would be harmless if met with silence. Surely, you won't pretend to be completely absolved of any role in this battle of wills? You're smarter than that.

I say bury the hatchet and concentrate on a team that has a good chance of making UT basketball history.
I've been enjoying the recent games.
Hope I don't have to give up VN to stay in the ZONE.

At the risk of appearing to take sides (I'm not BTW) in the ongoing pissing match between you two, has it ever occurred to you that perhaps you have perpetuated some of this with your combative attitude? You really rub some people the wrong way because your debating/discussion skills are quite unrefined, and you immediately take the sarcastic defensive.

Sparty isn't absolved of all wrongdoing either, but you can only control your actions, not his. Kindness is usually met with kindness. Abrasive remarks are usually reciprocated with the same.

I have tried to settle with him, call truce and end the pissing match. He however will go into a thread a day later and make some petty comment about me being a stalker or something along those lines. I appreciate his insight into the games because it's pretty obvious he's somewhat knowledgable on the X's and O's, but I don't find his continued immature remarks all that entertaining.

Do I have discussions with other people, absolutely, but rarely do they end in name calling like Sparty tends to. Look at his posts and when someone disagrees they're automatically referred to as a child or a kid, who should learn about the game. He talks down to anyone who disagrees with them, and that really rubs me the wrong way.

I have to disagree. Criticism can be a motivator. When close to 40,000 fans were asking for the coach to be replaced, only a mole could ignore that something was not right with this team. If it took negative criticism to bring out the best in this team, so be it. No matter what you say or believe, something clicked within this team. We saw snippets of a solid team throughout the season but they just could not put it together. But they have now - GBO!

However you wanna justify it buddy…

Not true. I am sure they cared less about the silly petition and the moaners. Around the sports world we were pretty much laughed at. No School will run sports by petitions.
