We could possibly have a Jewish Basketball coach and a Mormon Football coach. Very religiously diversified here in Tennessee.

You can see by my avatar who I would like to have here.

The only problem with Butch is that he is 57 years old. If he does get the job I hope he would build it to dominance then pass it on to one of his assistants. Looks like I have gotten way too far ahead of myself here. I will start worrying when Fulmer "steps down".

Yeah, I've thought about the age thing. In fact, I've been one of those people who would like to see a younger guy come in here, but he would be my exception to the rule.

Love the guy to death, but this is why he shouldn't be UT's coach. I'd hate to see him get ripped up by the fans.

-------------------------------------

"I always tell my recruits, 'I want you here, but if you want to be here, then I'd like you to call me and say, "This is where I want to go to school and these are the reasons," ' " assistant head coach Lance Reynolds says.

The process limits BYU's recruiting pool, coaches admit. But no exceptions are made.

I agree. Some things just wouldn't work at a school like UT. It's a shame, but it's true.

Hopefully, he wouldn't pass it on to a Coker-type assistant. We'd be left worse off than we are now. :eek:hmy:

Just read that Bronco only makes 650,000. I would figure he gets a raise after this year, but I think he would jump all over 2.5 mil or so to coach UT.

I think your right. I think Mendenhall would be a great hire. He has done more the less. I would say that unlike USC most recurits arent falling all over themselves to go to BYU yet they are still winning.

2.5 woud be a huge raise for him. I dont know about him but if someone offered me 4 times my salary to go somewhere else I would take it.

I would say maybe UT should even offer him more just in case other schools (auburn) get the same idea.

I'm not sure Bronco will leave BYU, even for a lot of money. I've been surprised before, but I think many fans here would be shocked to find out that in a lot of ways he's happy at BYU for reasons other than football.

Thats certianly possible. I would like to see the admistration at least try to get him. It would be hard to turn down that much money but he might.
