There is no way to make this pretty: the article title said "Vols stunning loss to Florida an indictment on Butch Jones"

That needs no translation or commentary. It speaks for itself.

I am still in awe that we lost that game to the worst reptile team in my memory. This will stick in my craw for a long time. Sad....really sad.

Butch really is the Trump of the coaching profession. The national media hates him with a passion. CBS is ripping him too.

Reporting that he isnt a good coach doesnt meam they hate him. It means he isnt a good coach. And everyone knows it, except of course for a few vols fans that are always faithful to their coach to a fault.

It's more than a few fans that still don't realize it unfortunately

And how long should that take? Perhaps maybe 5 years is enough time? Seems like a fair number.

They do more than just that though. His every word is scrutinized much more than most coaches. I have read that 'championship of life' reference at least 5 times today and how many months ago was that said?

Ok Mama Jones. He didn't miss FGs. However, he was the coach that called those low percentage plays three times. By the way, I didn't know there was a Morristown in Michigan.

Yeah i know. There are some bright spots though. I think everyone knew Kelly was good but maybe not as good as he is. And Callaway is a superstar.

You have a good time at the race yesterday? Was a blast, im all cut and bruised though.

Really though didn't he do that to himself? Like most of his issues are self inflicted

Year 5 and we're still using the "learn to win" canard.

This. Hardly anyone on this team was around for the Dooley years to have that mentality. These kids mostly all were highly recruited from their high school teams that won multiple state championships. All they have ever known is winning. Our current staff is the exact opposite. They are the ones that need to learn to win instead of trying not to lose.

That's on him.

He used the media when he got here to get out his message and throughout his tenure he has continued to use it pre and post game to frame the perception he wanted of a situation or game. That's lead to some stupid comments that he has been railed on for, and he's doubled down recently.

Well,i'm still on the Butch train.I've got season tickets and expect us to be 6-1 going to the bama game. But if he pulls a 5-5 then ok,time to think of something else, but he won't.
