US Soldier Bowe Berghdahl freed from Taliban in prisoner exchange

That's an odd way of answering his question.

What actions do you suggest that we, as Americans, take?

The only thing we can do right now is at the ballot box. Put in conservative politicians that will replace activist judges that do silly things like overturn state laws like Oklahoma's anti-sharia law. Sharia has no place in America.

It will never be part of the US govt. However limiting the terms private citizens can use in their lives shouldn't be part of govt either

Imagine Obama owns the Miami Heat, and the Taliban owns the Indiana Pacers. What Obama just did is trade LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh for Roy Hibbert.

That is the best analogy for the voters that put this moron in office. That is about as much as they could understand.

Obama on Presidential Signing Statements - YouTube

Obama explained that “Congress’ job is to pass legislation,” and when that happens, a President has only two options: “the President can veto it or sign it.” In contrast to Bush — who, Obama said, “has been saying ‘I can change what Congress passed by attaching a statement saying I don’t agree with this part, I’m going to choose to interpret it this way or that way’” — Obama said he, by contrast, believes “that’s not part of [the President's] power.” He punctuated his answer as follows: “we’re not going to use signing statements as a way of doing an end run around Congress.”

Pot meet kettle.

This wasn't about "urgency". Bypassing Congress wasn't an oversight. Obama's desire to release these guys predates Bergdahl's apparent desertion. Harry Reid says that they "are happy to get rid of these five people". Harry is really pleased that these five prisoners are out of the government's hair. Obama used this 5 for 1 swap as an excuse to free these five jihad killers.

Disagreeing with his policies is one thing. And I get that. But your honest belief is that Obama was simply excited that he got to release 5 "killers"? Wtf?
