I read somewhere recently new evidence may show they did not have to resort to what has been accepted knowledge. You should research.

I have. Not sure if you're referring to the cattle/other animal bones found. Obvious, they would have eaten what cattle/animals they could find and get to. Snow was reported at 12-30 feet deep. Physical evidence of cannibalism has not been found, I know. 47 missing. What happened? Don't know. Further excavation of sites may or may not turn anything up. Reports of rescue parties witnessing cannibalism. Diary exerts, the same. We may never know exactly what actually happened.:dunno:
