Notre Dame's fanbase is kinda big and they are playing one of their biggest rivals tonight in a legendary setting.


Notre Dame has their own TV deal. When you can get one of their games against Michigan playing a home game at night for the first time...ever.

The guys on TV have to pick some upsets to keep things interesting. If all they really cared about was picking winners they would just take the Vegas favorites every time. In this case especially, the fact that we're getting picked against doesn't actually mean that the "experts" think we'll get beat. It means they think we have the best chance of being upset this week in the pool of potential upsets.

It matters to the younger crowd, or the oldies that haven't been watching long. The folks that have been following for awhile know that it doesn't matter who picks who, the game is played on the field, not by analysts in a booth.
