Urban Meyer will probably be the AD for OSU when Smith calls it quits. Don't see him going anywhere else, especially with that cyst on his brain, which is a fact. You can put him down all you want but he seems to be completely happy with bein ass't AD and his Fox sports pre-game show. Do you know how much Revenue is lost when Neyland is only about half full? I can assure you a couple ifa Saturdays of that would surpass that $9M. Pruitt only geys fired if somehow goes 1-11. Question is if he only wins 3. Which I feel is going to be the total, do u still keep him? If Maurer doesn't pan out, and we have to start HB, we'll be 5-7 next year...hard to give a 4th yr after 3 losing seasons.

Never mind that our offer to Mike Gundy would’ve made him the third-highest paid coach in college football. Never mind that we offered Charlie Strong a contract that would’ve been in the top five in the country that he turned down when we hired Butch. Tennessee has been willing to spend the money, people have not been willing to take it from us. That’s a pretty big difference.

Pruitt makes $3.8 million. Paying him another million wouldn’t make him a better coach. Tennessee offered Gundy over $6 million and he turned it down to stay at Oklahoma State for $5 million. We offered Mullen the same $6 million that he’s making at Florida. He chose Florida without giving UT a chance to raise its offer. He wanted to be there and the money wasn’t going to be the difference. We were on Scott Frost early before he reversed course and took a similar offer from Nebraska. The money is there, finding someone to take it isn’t as easy as you seem to think it is.
