Urban went to OSU because it was easier to get to the playoff.

If he coaches again it will be at a similar place.

I don't expect him to jump back in the SEC and have the heartburn of UGA, Bama, LSU, AU and coming back UF to go through.

USC makes a lot more sense.

I seriously doubt Meyer would take a rebuild job. He bolted from UF when things weren't nearly as bad as they are in Knoxville.

Herbal's waiting for the USC job to open up; he now collects jobs at storied programs... he'd take the ND job if offered, but they aren't in the market for a new HC.

You want to be relevant or continue to be irrelevant.
He is a winner, all the way back to his Bowling Green and Utah days. Saban bailed on Mich.State, LSU, and Miami Dolphins.
But hey if you don't want to win national titles then go get another cordinators or midtier coavh.

He is a winner as a Football coach. People leave jobs all the time in the real world.
College football is a business, the business is winning football games brings in buku bucks. More people buy when the product your selling produces results.

You are completely ignoring the fact that Meyer already fled the SEC once, while in charge of a much better program than UT.

He will never in a million years take the UT job. Way too much stress and he wont be able to win like he did at Florida or OSU.

He's a slime ball. I would not like seeing him on our sidelines. But I would love to see the wins he would collect.

Regardless, it isn't happening, OP. UT will not let go of Pruitt and staff to hire a new HC and staff because of the cost involved.

Our best option right now, is to ride this coach for a little while. Hope and pray he can recruit. And hire Scott Satterfield (if he repeats his Appy St results at Louisville).
