Here is a link to the Utah site , They have posted a trail of lies and deceit all the way back to his leaving Bowling Green till he left them. Be sure and look at the dates on each of his quotes and see the lies. I saw this on USC trojans site this week , thwy were backing Kiffin on the cheating statement. He will leave gators in same fashion for ND

Great link... thanks!

I'm sure he told whatever UF recruits would listen to him that he plans on coaching at UF after Tebow leaves as well. The guy's halfway out the door already, and, frankly, I don't know why ND didn't pull the trigger this year. It's just money.

I think it's great to see that Utah has continued to build a really good program without CUM.

Keep watching the video...

One day you might realize they were calling FL out. As in WE'RE the true national champs, bring your one loss team to us and we'll beat your ass just like we did to Bama:post-4-1090547912:.
That whole video was a little strange.

I'm not defending Meyer or any coach for that matter that blatantly lies about other jobs, but it is a bit of a "catch 22." If he comes out and says, "Yes, I'm interested in the Florida/Utah job", then he loses recruits, fans will still hate him, and he puts his current job at risk. If he says "No comment", then everyone assumes that he is interested and looking at other jobs. If he lies, then he throws off the media somewhat, keeps recruits, and keeps his fans happy. It's a no-win situation. So, that's why most coaches in these situations (Meyer, Saban, etc.), choose the lying route. It's a business, and the coaches are going to make the best decision for them and that usually means notoriety and money. Don't get me wrong ... I don't like Meyer or Saban, but my reasons do not include them lying about other jobs.

A "logical and rational" lie?

Lying is wrong whether you think you have a good (in this case selfish) reason to do it. And yes, even if it is a UT coach.

I've had about enough of Urban Meyer---when LK gets some talent, I'm hoping he lays half a hundred on UF everytime they play and really runs up the score late in the game!!!

There is absolutely no reason for a coach to lie. He could say, "I'm not gonna talk about anything but this football team right here that I am coaching," and let people think whatever they want.
