You think we'll get any recruits?

Also, sounds like next year will be our best bet in a while to beat Florida (assuming Brantley doesn't suddenly get better).

Depends entirely on who they get.

It's not exactly like Meyer is leaving a bare cupboard.

I do not think this will change much at florida. They will be able to get a worthy replacement.

I think whoever they get, the East will still be up for grabs. UF is still going to be a good team with talent coming in. I don't think they will have the recruiting power they had with Meyer unless they get someone big to replace him. Players are drawn to a big coach (take what happened to us) as well as the school and program.

I do not see why everyone is afraid of mullen and malzahn. All we need to worry about is Dooley going out and building the program and things will fall into place.

Uhh, this is not wonderful news guys. I know, I know, two national championships, but that was then. Tim Tebow is a once in a generation talent. The Meyer system can work in the SEC, but not consistently. It must have a fullback with a cannon playing QB. My guess is that this actually increases UF's 2011 win total.

Ultimately they will get a good coach with championship pedigree and keep their recruiting on lockdown -- it's Florida.

Except for the unlikely event they bomb on this hire, whoever steps in will probably win the east with relative ease next year.

And next time we beat Florida, it will be because we've risen to the level of the Gators, not because they've stooped to ours. 7-5 is rock bottom for them.

But I'd prefer that scenario anyways.

Does this affect anyone's picks for this bowl? I doubt Chucky would leave ESPN. That is a pretty cush job he's got.
