Meyer seems a little perturbed don't you think.

Oh we'll be ready to play in the swamp. The coaching staff will make sure of that. Now whether we will have the talent this fall to beat them might be a different story. One can only hope.

Either way, many many people are excited about Tennessee football once again. That in itself is a great step in the right direction.

Yes,I beleive I will.

We have nothing to lose on that day.If we get blown out it was expected.If we play it close it shows improvement.If we win notice is served.

Not to mention every day between now and then,but every day between now and then.I love it.

Davidtn I agree completely. Not a flame or anything like that but I honestly believe your players and fans will come into the SWAMP on a high they haven't been on coming in there in years. I just don't think, even with new coaching and a legend of a D coach that you will simply have the talent this year to beat us. Next year when Timmy is gone I think it will be a toss up. I haven't seen Brantley play enough to judge and we will probably lose our entire staring D except for a few. If you guys step it up in recruiting, which you guys are hot now, it will be a real series again. It is going to get real interesting really soon...

From his (Urban Meyer) of view I'd be pissed too. But comma, I don't wake up or go to bed worrying about Urban Meyer's feelings.

Hey even if UF scores 70 on us like the fans are predicting and it would not surprise me at all if Urban didn't go out of his way to do that, It won't matter...Even tho he's pissed off they would've found something else to be all up in arms about and make up excuses to try and kill us...So what if they do?..they still have to play us EVERY YEAR...And what comes around goes around so if UF does try to score 70 on us you have to believe somewhere down the line that Kiffin and crew will do their damnedest to return the favor tenfold.

yes 615 I do realize that and I am happy that it will be a rivalry again. I have some UT friends that have quit watching the games with me because of how it has been recently. We used to always switch houses for home games and I have been subjected to Rocky Top at full volume while watching my Gators lose a several times. But I want that rivalry again. I want the thought that oh chit if we lose this game its over for our SEC hopes. I know you guys want that again. That's what makes it so great. I loved beating you guys the last few years, but honestly I knew we would. I want to have that BIG GAME WEEK feeling again. It is way more fun that way.


Orangeblooded that is the attitude to have. Honestly I believe all the pressure is on us. Like you said, many almost expect us to beat you (and some even think a blowout, I do not). BUT it will be HUGE if you get us. So I think it is us that have our backs against the wall. I just can't wait. I just want spring ball to hurry up and get here so I can get a little taste...

I agree 100% with your first paragraph Dee. I'd like to Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and Auburn all ready to play on any given Saturday. That's a fun football season.

I agree - we have nothing to lose. Yes we're going to hear plenty more about the whole cheating accusation if we lose, but that's expected. Most Vols fans are realistic and only expect so much this first year so we're prepared. But if we win it wil be HUGE.

And definitely agree that it will be exciting this year either way!
