Nah, we cover. Something like 34-13.........

Cuse will put up more than 13 points IMO. They aren't a bad team, they just aren't B1G/SEC caliber (granted, they are better than the bottom tier of those conferences but I am talking about decent B1G/SEC programs that recruit in top 25 every year).

I'll take UT to win, but we aren't covering a 2 TD spread...it'll be more like a 7 or 9 point win

Not surprising that we're on someone upset watch list. Questions will be answered. Let's prove ole Spencer wrong.

According to Saturday Down South writer Spenser Davis, that may be the case. In his article that predicts five upsets for the opening weekend of college football, he listed the Orange beating the Vols as one of the bets.

His reasoning is the questions involving Tennessee’s offense. With no clear quarterback, a retooled offensive line and an unproven receiver room, Davis doesn’t like how big of a favorite the Vols are in the game.

“Quarterback is a massive question, as is offensive line. The receiver room is unproven (and is dealing with multiple injuries during fall camp) as well,”

Will the offense be any better with Joey Aguilar or Jake Merklinger under center? Possibly, but in Week 1, I don’t expect the Vols to be firing on all cylinders.”
Somebody paste the article? RTI is asking for too many hoops to jump. Last time I clicked on another site football story, I was attacked with "Your computer is infected with a virus! Call 800------ Thanks.

McCoy returning to practice? Some of both but probably more sharps. Public tends to bet closer to the game.
Maybe some of McCoy and some of it BOO. And I agree with the early bets; however, I've had a line sheet for 4 weeks now. Bet a couple games too..

I'm not concerned with Syracuse at all. I actually believe this will be a blow out. 45-10

He has logic on his side. And I do expect Syracuse's head coach will be coaching in the SEC within 4 years. This game will not be a cake walk.

It's not just that we have no established QB, but it's that none of our QBs are getting to throw to our projected starting receivers. That's a huge impediment to progress! Add to that an inexperienced center... facing schemes that Syracuse's DC has had months to plan and implement... and what may be an especially young offensive line...

If Syracuse's defense doesn't load the box from the get-go, with lots of shifts and stunts to further slow our offense, I'll be shocked. This could be the slowest (in plays-per-minute) we'll play all season.

Unless I’m missing something this seems like a line up and run the ball down their throats and move on type of game.
It’ll be very interesting to see how Syracuse decides to defend us. Will it be death by a thousand papercuts the way that NC State defended us and we just gash them, or are they going to stack the box and make the new QB and wideouts show that we can beat them over the top? We really need to establish a guy in the slot to make us as versatile as possible.

We better come ready to play the Cuse aren’t UT Chattanooga or Kent St. I think we will win but i expect this game to be a rock fight. They have alot of questions on their team as we do and it’s the first game of the year so expect the unexpected but i think we win by 9.
Be a rock fight for about a half imo then we should pull away on raw talent.

I know our offense has questions but their defense was bottom half of their conference and way down there nationally as well. They just didn't defend the pass OR the run very well at all. I read that they return the same D-line but they've got some transfers/backups on the backend for this year. I guess maybe their transfers could be difference makers? They also don't recruit anywhere near the top 25 that I know of. If we struggle to win this game, I'll be pretty concerned.
