Upset pick of the week
Tennessee over Connecticut, Saturday: OK, so it might seem a bit odd to pick the Volunteers to pull off an upset when they've been easily the most unpredictable team this season. But the Huskies have played with fire at times at home this season against lesser competition -- like letting South Florida take them to overtime a few weeks ago. Tennessee coach Bruce Pearl will be back on the sideline for this game after missing the first four SEC games during his conference-imposed suspension for misleading NCAA investigators. The Vols have the power game inside, with Brian Williams and John Fields, to disrupt Connecticut. UConn also doesn't match up well with point forward Tobias Harris. Kemba Walker is a matchup problem, himself, for the Vols. Oh, and the Vols have beaten Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh and Villanova in New York. So this is definitely doable.

Weekly Watch: Week 8 - ESPN

At this point I think we should be favored over Uconn since we are basically unbeatable against ranked teams:crazy:

It has been a two man show at UCONN all year, if we come to play some serious defense and don't get crushed on the boards we will have a legit chance to win. UCONN is also a little weak defensively, at least in comparison to their offense.

Lets beat Georgia first!

This one is certainly doable as we all know what this team is capable of. This will be Bruce's one game back for a while, it will be a hostile environment against a ranked team and we'll be the underdog. We'll also very likely be coming off of a loss to Georgia so we'll see.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Tennessee beats uconn. Everybody knows that Tennessee can play with any team in the country. The Vols put it in 5th gear when they're the dog. Just wish they weren't so unpredictable though.

Sorry for the confusion, I was referring to the UCONN game. Girlfriend's parents live in Hartford and are big Huskey fans, so when I saw this on the schedule I jumped on the tix.

I see a Motel 6 in your future. They leave the light on for ya.

Actually, Georgia is ranked too. Gary Parrish at CBS Sports has them at number 21. While his poll might not be official in the jaundiced eyes of the ncaa, it's much less biased than the AP or Coaches polls. So, Go Vols! Beat number 21!

I remember seeing Georgia at #24 in the AP poll at some point, so maybe we have a shot after all:good!:
