some points;

1. Alabama had better pray to God Jim Grobe or Paul Johnson will accept being their fourth choice.
2. FedEx Forum-Best basketball facility in the country.
3. NBA scouts are in love with Jamont Gordon.
4. They like Tyler Smith, too.
5. Ole Miss has better personnel than I thought.
6. Kareem Cooper is going to help Memphis immensely.
7. Whoever "coaches" UT's pom pon squad should be forced to watch the Memphis poms until it is clear that tose are the types of routines people want to see.
8. Peabody Place has turned out very nicely.
9. Gentlemen's clubs in Memphis are to adult entertainment what ECW was to sports entertainment in the '90s.
10. Everyone should make a trip to the Civil rights Museum and the Stax Soul Museum. Both are well worth the time.

I'm fairly confident your review of Nashville will be just as positive...

Will you be staying at the Hermitage Hotel?

Not bad...

I can't speak on how the Gentlemen's club scene is nowadays...Metro has cracked down on those establishments these past few years.

If you're in town on the 16th the Preds will be playing the Blues that evening. On the 17th the Titans will be playing the Jags at LP. And of course the BB game on the 18th.

Good sports weekend...

The article in this morning's Commercial Appeal that gave an inside look at the revenues produced by Lunati's clubs was enlightening.
Haven't seen it yet but will check it out. Lunati has been around forever and it can be assumed he will never be a candidate for sainthood... :shades:

Is that crazy guy that thinks he's an alien still running shady establishments in Memphis?

And, no, that's not a joke.

What no trip through Voodoo Village?

Every High School kid in Memphis has a Voodoo Village story to tell.

And what would make someone think they will be car jacked or mugged when in the rape capital of the nation? You, sir, sound very uneducated. At least think through your post before you attempt to trash a city out.

And for the record, I've never heard of Memphis being the rape capital of the nation anyway...

I live in the DARKEST city in America.

And by dark, I mean we were the first "Dark city" in America. We have Lowell Observatory here in Flagstaff (it discovered Pluto), so all street lights, signs, everything are very dim and a special kind of light. It's a dark dark city.

i lived there til i was 20...and Memphis is well known for some of it's not so nice parts of town and their politicians would rival the great state of Lousiana in ethical character.

having said that, Memphis has done a lot for itself in the past ten years revitalizing parts of downtown like peabody center, the baseball feild etc....it's nicer now than when i left, i'll give it that.

Ya, the check points to frisk you to get onto Beal is a nice touch. Nothing says we have a safe city like check points to frisk people.

Downtown is pretty nice im just saying its not one of the top 5 places to live in America. The suberbs of Memphis is pretty cool like Germantown, Collierville or over the state line like Olive Branch. Memphis has way to much crime.
