Updates on AJ Johnson?

Not trying to stir the pot and I don't have any official updates, but the general consensus was that he committed the crime. But that was 2 years ago so who knows what will happen.

Interesting. I recall general consensus being a sexual act definitely occurred, but it was thought by many it was consensual. In other words, there was sex but no crime. Phone records are part of proving the young lady was there with the intent to have sex...and possibly the kind of sex most of us would describe as "freaky" at best.

What are AJ and Mike doing while this is all happening? Do they have a job? Are they in jail? I honestly don't know

Been doing your retirement planning lately?

Just read an article in today's Chicago Tribune about Jessie Jackson Jr.......receiving over $134,000 a year from disability and workers compensation. I doubt he was even stealing that much from his job in congress, but that is some fine financial planning

I'm confused. I thought AJ was cleared and back with the team. I reckon I'm more senile than I realized.

Haha. You're always trying to stir the pot. Also, general consensus to whom? Because that's not the general consensus I'm familiar with.

And I thought the perception was that AJ and the lady in question had consensual relations then the lady protested when the teammate joined the party?

"Is this about the money."

"yeah, it's about the money"

Can you put the University of Tennessee in jail? No. So how do you punish a University for negligence? Financially.

I was involved in a car accident and received a payout from the other driver's insurance company. Did it make my chronic pain go away? No. Was I in it for the money? No, but it did reduce my urge to find the driver who was strung out on drugs when he hit me and break his knees with a baseball bat.

IF any of the guys in question were guilty (big IF), why should it be the University's responsibility? Big difference than your scenario in which an insurance company is insuring the driver at fault.

It's funny you say VN is trying to slant the story, when multiple people here have heard similar stories while YOU are the one bringing the slant.

I wonder what the odds are that 2 people involved in a scandalous situation would both have phones malfunction right after the event in question. We're talking lottery numbers. I also wonder why they wouldn't want to cooperate by producing all evidence to get justice. It's fishy at best; more likely deception.

Serious question BOV. If everything went down as the accused are accused of, can you honestly say it was such an odd coincidence that the alleged victim and her bff's phones 'malfunctioned' the same time and they sold/ditched their phones along with allegedly scrubbing their social media accounts? Such coincidences, I'd say.

EDIT: I've been Kristy*'d

My story is literally he's guilty with the crime he is alleged of committing. I have no slant/insider knowledge that VN always seems to have about some cell phones etc. Where can I read about such info from a reliable source? 2-3 years removed from the incident and I can't say what will happen in court, but I was only saying the consensus from multiple people much closer to the situation than VN said he did it. I also believe where there's smoke there's fire.

Edit: Okay maybe hearing from people "close to the situation" is ironic, just saying that the typical Volnation "he didn't do it because he's a Vol and Butch Jones yada yada, this mysterious poster said he was in the room and saw xyz" is bs.

And what do you understand this crime to be?

That at 2AM AJ lured a young lady (with which he'd had previous intimate relations) away from a party and then forced himself on her at his apartment? As I understand it, the 2nd lady isn't claiming to be a victim of any crime. What is Williams being accused of? Do you know what you're specifically supporting as true?

Obviously, you don't really care, but this is from the article cited in this thread:

"The accuser and her best friend - and one of the state's star witnesses - insisted their phones malfunctioned, so they ditched them." (KNS)

Full article:

Judges to decide social media access for ex-UT players Johnson, Williams

Also, you aren't the only one who knows people "close to the situation."

What a joke the last part of this statement is unless you are for forced sterilization of both sexes. These are young people whose genitals gets the best of them bot male and female. My concern is about false accusations ruining lives and due process to a speedy trial.

I was referring to being aware of what kind of things happen when you decide to drop your pants for someone an hour or two after meeting them. Or does that not ping a fiji boy's radar?

Many who make false accusations seem to get a sadistic pleasure out of it for some reason. I am sure those who got dragged through Hell because of them wishes someone had warned them about that, and made them listen.

What is the bigger joke? Doing nothing and blaming youth and hormones, or trying something that might save one or two but seems stupid to arrogant ex frat boys? I choose the first.
