Updates: Is Rick Barnes actually recruiting/working?

Congratulations to CRB and his staff on landing Turner and Kasongo today according to Channel 6 sports.

Yes, it was a big day for UT hoops, and the season ahead for Barnes isn't looking so bad now. But, UT still has one scholarship left, I would love to see either more of the same from Barnes by filling it with either another big strong post player or a true point guard. We will see what happens.

But, is he actively trying to or actually going to sign any players for this upcoming season?

One knock on Barnes was his inability to recruit at a high level. Texas recruits itself. Tennessee doesn't. It's just true....

i heard that he has been hangin' out on the strip, talking to locals and students to get some good vibes about who he should recruit...he hasn't called you yet? hmmmm

I have seen Barnes a bunch at the Tap Room on the Strip. He has not shaved in days, he is doing his laundry next door and then sitting in the Tap Room drinking Schlitz and watching the Cubs play. Harry Carey sure is good, and I like watching Leon Durham play. The Tap Room has a new Mata Hari pinball game as well as Centipede....
