Okay, here's my proposal for those of you (all three of you) who still think Crompton is still the best choice:

- Currently, UT is ranked 111th out of 119 teams in passing efficency;
- Crompton is ranked 14th in the SEC. Note that there are only 12 teams in the SEC.

So...

- Let Stephens and / or Coleman play, or split time, for the next four games.
- If after those four games (against much tougher competition than UAB and UCLA), UT's passing efficiency has improved...and their SEC rankings are better than Crompton's, then that settles that.

If not, then I guess we can start looking forward to '09, and hope both Crompton and Fulmer move on to other things.

go vls.

Does anyone else find it almost impossible to believe that there are 8 offenses in American that pass it around worse than UT?

Well it's good to know that Wyoming is below us,so that gives us a better chance to win this one.

Navy is ranked 7th with only 38 passing attempts. Crompton had more than that in his first game.
