Was thinking about that this morning as well, definitely not a good trend.

When he first signed it was supposedly close and should only be a few days. Then it was by the end of an answer was expected and that was directly from Tyndall.

Well now it's almost the end of July and we haven't heard anything, each day that passes the chances go down IMO.

Just hoping that most of the delay is that the Clearighouse is taking care of football before it moves on to basketball payers.

Clearinghouse has no rhyme or reason to their methods. The only thing they do with consistency is move at a turtle's pace.

This is JMO but it seems like they just haven't gotten around too Mostella's case? Because if they weren't going to clear him they would have already came out and said so, right? Or am I wrong?

I believe that's right, but him getting an answer before school isn't a given either I don't think.

Ramar Smith didn't get cleared till a few days after classes started in 2005. I'm not worrying unless it goes past the next two weeks.

You could be right, or there could just be a lot to his case. It may not be as cut and dry and they look at his transcript and say, "oh yea, those grades, test scores and classes are legit, he's clear".

There was talk about online classes, amateur issues, as well as test scores...so there could very well be a lot of digging that the NCAA is doing into each of those instances. Then it could be a case where he's told he has to repay X amount of money and that's something they're coming up with, or that the benefits received were too large and his amateur status has been jeopardized.

So yea it could be they haven't gotten to it yet, but I'm guessing they have and are likely doing their research on it. Chris Walker from Florida wasn't cleared until half way through the season last year, you just never know how long this stuff can go.
