Update on Reese, McKnight & Mostella

How's the knee? I started running and doing light jumping again this week.

It's there. Thanks for asking, to you and zans. That was my 7th on that knee so its done. Starting to work on scheduling a total in '15. Only 44 years old, so it sucks, but it is what it is. I used everything it had for 40 years.
Hard to explain to the boys that I could dunk in the day at 5'10 but cant even run now. Wish we had YouTube then.

Sucks, man. I'll keep you in my prayers. I'm only 24 and have had 2 surgeries on my right knee. Hope I'm not in your position in 20 years. Although, since I'm 6'7 it'll be believable that I could dunk back in the day when I'm 44 :)

Ha. You will be fine. My first was before good technology and my therapy was me limping around. Just keep your quads and hammies strong and always work on range of motion.
I didn't treat it well.

I knew something was up with Reese's RTL statistics. Should've been averaging closer to something like 40ppg and 20rpg (12 fouls a game though if they called it all).

Of course it's both our most highly rated recruit and our biggest need for this season. I hope this gets settled FAST. We need these guys.

I disagree completely that Mostella is our biggest need, even if cleared I don't see him starting and probably only averaging ~15-20mpg. I think the health of Ian Chiles, and clearance of McKnight are actually both more important for the teams success THIS YEAR.

But it wouldn't hurt to have a high-energy guy like Mostella. Just getting Mostella here is a big need for next year's program.

Agree about next year, but as for this years success I feel like the other 2 guys I mentioned are much more vital.

While Mostella is fun to watch, and will provide some awesome dunks, we aren't lacking scoring production on the wing, which is his greatest asset.

Me are extremely weak at PG, and post, if he played in either of those areas I would change my opinion, but I still think Chiles & McKnight are much more important for this coming years team.

I tend to agree with Tyndall's assessment of Mostella, which is that while he has incredible athletic potential he's also incredibly raw. Like a project with major upside.

He's a guy who could be huge next year IMO, you don't redshirt him because he can contribute (assuming he qualifies), but the potential is next year IMO. Richardson graduates, he's able to put on 10-15lbs, and step into a major role for a SEC team.

Kind of like the offensive version of Armani Moore.

That sucks. I'm 44 as well and my knees ache at times but I remember all the troubles you have talked about on here at times and realize it could be much much worse.

I've tweeted him a couple times about Tennessee and just basketball in general and he's favorited it most of the time if that means anything ,is bacon and sanders a package deal?

No it means nothing, promise.

And no, they no longer attend the same school.

I was actually referring to two different players (Mostella as the highest rated recruit; McKnight as a player in our position of biggest need).

What is sad is just like Manziel's case was resolved quickly and we kept waiting to hear about Couch to know if could play, Dorial Green Beckham's case will be resolved before Mostella. They will probably let Dorial play and not Mostell knowing them. :banghead2:

Edit: I know I am comparing a football player to a basketball player, but it should not matter.

Boy that statement is absurd. Lets not start the most athletic player on the team who can score from anywhere. Oh yeah he wont score that much either. Nope he and JRich on the floor at the same time would be a mistake. Did I miss anything?
