Agree. I wouldn't be surprised for the university to officially announce the hire in a press release a day or so prior to the presser if they plan to introduce the DC at a previously scheduled presser.

I say you'd better be ready for Spangler. Dooley is most comfortable with him.

1.he might show him up
2.he might stick a knife in his back

I might be misreading, but surely you are not comparing the abilities of Clawson and Shannon here. I suppose you are comparing Spangler and Clawson. Your assessment of Dooley is pretty negative. I hope he is a much better leader than that. Any good leader of an organization is more than happy to be "shown up" if it means that the organization is more successful, and I personally believe that Dooley would love for that to happen.

If the rumors about Shannon being refused a 3 year deal by Hart are true then Dave Hart is the guy that should be bashed. If he won't give agreeable terms to the best candidate available then he is cutting Dooley's legs out from under him before we ever get to 2012. Whoever Dooley hires other than Shannon will be a disappointment to many but the blame will rest with Hart.
