Definitely agree on the last one. As far as Stoops goes, if he were actually considering it, would UT have the cajones to fork the money over?

Justin may be right on this one; My only worry is if Layla wanted to go back to L.A., how in the world could we lure Stoops' wife out of Stillwater for Knoxville?

I would love to have Gruden as the new head ball coach, but then you are getting yourself in the same boat we just got rolled over in. He would be called every other day about a job in the NFL. I dont think it would take 14 months for an NFL team to come up with enough cash to pull him away. I guess you could make his buyout $1,000,000,000.00 and that would keep them at bay for at least 5 years.

I keep seeing people saying Gruden or Dungy. I would love to have Gruden as the new head ball coach, but then you are getting yourself in the same boat we just got rolled over in. I'm lukewarm on Gruden. He really ran Tampa Bay into the ground after winning the Super Bowl with Dungy's players and Monte Kiffin's defense. Still better than Cutcliffe, but I don't think he's the home run/sure thing everyone presumes him to be.

Stoops' wife have a thing for Gundy? I assumed she would be living in Norman with her husband.

If we somehow could get Stoops (not holding my breath)...after the firestorm Kiffin is in for leaving us this close to signing day, I dont see Bob doing th same thing to OU.

Money talks though and egos are large.

Sorry. Rich McKay's players.

I lived in Tampa for Dungy's first 3 years and watched the team that got put together under him. Gruden put that very good team over the top in his first year, and it slowly rotted under his tenure thereafter, resulting in the debacle this year. Even that 2002 team was driven by the defense that Monte Kiffin coached, not by Gruden's offense.

Don't get me wrong, Gruden would be a "splash" hire, and draw a lot of attention that would save the recruiting class and be a short term shot in the arm. He might even get us where we want to be over the long haul, I can't say. There's just a nagging feeling I have that he's not the sure thing that everyone seems to take for granted. If we get him, I certainly hope I'm wrong.

Does anyone have sense not to post lies. We are doomed with Hamilton. I used to love this guy.If he can't get Muschamp, Gruden ,Stoops this guy is dragging us down!!IMO I hope I'm wrong but i doubt it......
