Jack "Hacksaw" Reynolds - fullback turned mean linebacker for UT, and a 1st round draft in the NFL.

The story, as I recall, was that Jack was so upset after a loss (I think we were unbeaten at that point) that he took a hacksaw and cut a car in half. Hence... the nickname.

Lavoisier Fisher played LB for us in the early '80s. His first name rhymed with Courvoisier -- the cognac.

Najeh "Dump trunk" Davenport.

Got the nickname for taking a crap in his girlfriend's closet.

I know this is about UT ball but Inky Johnson reminds of a past UAB Bball player Squeaky Johnson. My fav.

With Jim Bob Cooter (greatest football name ever) in the news I was wondering. What Vol football player had the most unusual, most fitting name or just had a name you liked? Given names, surnames or nicknames are acceptable.

I love this topic and have several favorites that scream badas$:

Bacarri Rambo
Barkevious Mingo
Cassanova McKenzie
Ace Sanders
Sanders Commings
Dee Liner (dude plays DE)

Plain name, but love the inflection John Ward when he mentioned Bill . . . DUFF.

From baseball, have to love Shooty Babbit, Bake McBride, and Rusty Kuntz.

Being from Chattanooga, I remember in the 80's Marion County had a punter that went on to play for UTC named Pumpy Tudors.
