KenPom has Tennessee #81 and ETSU #82 should be interesting. Playing in the high school gym in Maui should prepare these guys for the high school gym at ETSU.

Stay tuned, all of you are gonna be surprised at last. By the way, the Bucs just moved to #71 in the RealTimeRPI rankings just behind Wichita State at #70.

Chuckling at the fact the Bucs are 17-2 at home the last two years losing only to UNCW and Chattanooga, mid-major powerhouses. The crowd will be 80% Buc fans. Their high school gym is now the showcase of the Southern Conference. Standing room only Thursday night. There will be a lot of pressure on the young Vols. Hope they can keep it close.

It'll be a joke compared to Chapel Hill.

When we are no longer 14th in the SEC in recruiting like we are for the 2017 class, I might be a little happier, Joe. You don't win championships like that. Letting a fellow named Stokes sign with Florida is dropping the ball in my opinion.
Has it ever occurred to you That Barnes didn't want Stokes or Stokes didn't want UT? If you spent a little less time stalking DT you might know this.

Imagine the headlines...Vols lose to team that plays in high school gym....nah, they wouldn't put high school gym in the headline, LOL

Just the facts, mam!
ESPN's Daily RPI has ETSU at 71 and Tennessee at 124.
Tennessee's starting lineup consists of 1 senior, 1 5th year senior, 1 sophomore, and 2 freshman while ETSU's consists of 2 seniors, 2 5th year seniors, and a junior with the 2 seniors and the junior all having All Conference accolades of one form or another. Oh, year, a first and second team Juco All-American come off the bench. Just hope the Baby Vols can keep it close.

For people in the Tri-Cities region you can watch the game on TV on FOX Tri-Cities WEMT-TV. That's channel 710(HD) on Charter or channel 39(HD if you have DirecTV). Charter has not updated the guide to reflect the game being on TV but DirecTV has.

BTW, I'm always a Vol fan 1st but this one is tough for me. The Bucs are my 2nd favorite team. ETSU is good enough to beat my Vols let me tell you. This will be a dog fight & even though I want the Vols to win I wouldn't be surprised to see the Bucs pull of the win. The Bucs are a really good team folks. Thanks!

I went to school at ETSU back in the 80's when Les Robinson was head coach and they lost to Oklahoma and Mookie Blaylock in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. One of ETSU's best players was Keith Jennings and I remember watching basketball games at the Mini dome which was a cozy arena. The ETSU campus is very nice and I remember doing some gigs at the campus radio station as a news reader and staying at Cooper Hall.

Those were some good times.

I really think this game goes down to the wire. We're gonna miss Fulk with his hustle plays. ETSU is ALL hustle all the time under Coach Steve Forbes. I'm going to predict Bucs 82 Vols 80 in OT.

If Hubbs can put up 25+ points then I think we can win. We also need another one of those Grant Williams star performance games as well.

My prediction is ETSU comes out hot and holds a 12 point halftime lead. Tennessee fights back and gets a nice win late. Tennessee 69 ETSU 65.

Might have been a win with Bone and Fulk and at home.
Can't be inconsistent in this one.

Unfortunately, I don't think our larger size will be a factor for us. Your guys' hustle at Gonzaga showed size doesn't have to be a factor. The learning curve has been steep for you guys, but you're a way different team than the one who started the season. It'll be a dog fight for sure, and may come down to who wants it more in the end.

I was there too, and I've never heard the minidome referred to as "cozy". As a matter of fact, I've never heard 1 person say anything good about it as a basketball facility.

It is cavernous, and there are limited courtside seats. Seating in the football stands was horrible, and there was no home court advantage, because there was little volume to the crowd, siince the court was shifted to the side of the football field.

I'm glad to hear somebody liked it, but the renovated Freedom Hall is just what this program needed.

One word to describe the $11 million ETSU themed renovation of Johnson City's Freedom Hall Civic Center, Awesomeness!

Just hope the Vols keep it close? UNC-Wilmington beat them by 10, Dayton by 14. They're only good win was vs Mississippi State and they're not very good.

Double duh! Dayton's KenPom rating is #40 and UNCW#53 and those were away games. Weird rating systems. How Tennessee is #82 and ETSU#83 while the ESPN Daily RPI has ETSU #71 and Tennessee #124 is beyond me. I guess that system poopoos the mid-majors!

Game is supposed to be on MYVLT in the Knox area, but the guide on DISH and the one for good old antenna TV does not show it. Should we be worried, or.....?
