Unless there's a homerun hire, commence Operation Big Orange Clothing Drive

You might as well get ready. We are not getting a home run hire. It be more like a bunt single. :mf_surrender::stop::no:

And it would have been a good bunt too, but unfortunately we got called out for stepping out of the batter's box.

Any anthropology majors at UT? Go to the second hand donation stores and track the amount of UT gear donated and juxtapose the donations to our w/l record, plus the fans general approval rating for the program/head coach. Would be an interesting piece of work if you had enough years worth of data. I reckon there'd be a correlation between UT clothes donated and losses. lol

Great! Come here to vent and get an assignment out of the deal. Just wonderful.:furious3:

Sources tell me it will either be McElwain, Mike Riley or Brett Bielema.

I have a serious question. Kelly just accepted the UCLA job for 23 million for 5 years, the report I saw, that's less than 5 mil a year. Didn't Jones make more than that? I can't believe Fla or UT wouldn't have paid him more than that. What's the problem? money or if not money what?

SEC is the toughest conference in the country to win consistently as a coach. Look at all the turnover just this year. A lot of coaches might like a challenge just not that much of a challenge. If they can make even close to the same money elsewhere they go for it. 5 mill a year in Los Angeles would be at about 7 mill in Knoxville when you factor in the cost of living.

I like the idea, but if we hire Schiano (or similar) I have already planned to donate everything to KARM.

Not true fans imho.

For those of us who live far away and don't artificially fill Neyland in advance by buying season tickets, etc., I think it's a fine way to send a message.

I don't live close enough to buy season tickets or scalp gameday tickets. I'm not going to the games, I'm not spending money in local hotels, gas stations, restaurants, bars or other sorts of businesses. That's revenue that has a direct correlation to the on-the-field stuff. It has a direct link to Ed O.

There's been a long history of poor hires for HC and assistant coaches. I and many, many other folks have tried to look on the sunny side, but ultimately wind up gritting our teeth, looking at the shock and awe of someone like Dooley or Botch being introduced as the next HC.

It's one thing to ***** on a message board or tweet out disdain. Doing something physical and tangible like this gives you the chance to vent more visibly and with more of a voice.

If Currie hires a fifth choicer from a MAC conference or a directional school, I will send all my UT stuff back to them. T-shirts, beer coozies, caps, Smokey golf club covers...they're getting everything.

All the high hopes, empty promises and overinflated expectations are as much music to my ears as hearing "Third Down For WTF" on an infinite loop at ear-bleeding volume. Who's with me?

Here's the address:

Better yet, everyone participating exchange email addresses. If you mail it up "individually", it just gets trashed. However much stuff you get together, designate a time and dump it all at the stadium at once. They can let the team clean it up. Then they can say they did something this season.

I'm going to keep everything for my hopes for the coaching hire by athletic director Tee Martin in 2042.

I'm giving to Goodwill and salvation Army. I've been Big Orange for 52 yrs. So that being said I have a lot to donate. I never thought that Tennessee Football would get this BAD! Goodbye, I feel just like someone died. I'm very dissapointed in the adminstration, republicans, and the people that also call the shots.
