University of Tennessee gonna advance further than Memphis State?

Memphis had a solid year. If you don't have any knuckleheads declare early you should be solid next year. Can you replace Crawford/Johnson/Jackson/Dixon will be the question, but Pastner's a good recruiter.

Solid, no spectacular. Ups and downs.

The front court with Shaq, Austin, Dom and Hawkins should be fine.

The back court will be young, talented and inexperienced. We'll see how they gel.

UT and Memphis will both have interesting seasons next year.

You don't have the better coach. It took him 7 years to make the sweet 16. I guarantee Pastner surpasses that x10 now that the program is back on level ground. I am not fooled by this fools gold you guys stumbled on this year

WTH are you talking about? Pastner has had 5 yrs and hasn't yet. CCM took over a Mizzou State program that was in shambles and was in a conference that rarely gets more than 1 team in. And more specifically it only took CCM 6 yrs of being a HC. If you're going to discount his career, at least qualify it by acknowledging the handicapped circumstances he was working with.

Meanwhile your roster is littered with 4*-5* talent that's no better than they were in HS.

Pastner is fine for now. His superiors are happy with things other than the games, and he is still winning a high number. However, I don't see how they will be any better next year unless the backcourt surprises. Not a great recruiting class, and Crawford and Powell are unproven.

The only good thing is that Louisville leaves, Cincy loses Kilpatrick, and UConn loses Napier. I think SMU may be the early leader to win the conference.

The NCAA didn't think very highly of the AAC, hard to see that changing with Louisville leaving.

You keep bringing up beating Virginia everytime. Basketball is a fluid game and not set in stone like football. In a 10 game series Virginia would more than likely win 9/10 against UT especially how they are playing now

You truly are a mental midget. UT destroyed Virginia by 35, yet Virginia would win 9 times out of 10 because they're playing better? Do you even watch the damn games? Obviously not.

My vote for not only dumbest post of the year, but also most butt hurt.

Lots of tiger high butt hurt on this thread.

Attention: The Tennessee Volunteers are in the SweeT 16. tiger hi is not. Deal with it. CCM has coached more SweeT 16 teams this year than your coach has in his entire life. That is all.

Like we said: Congrats.

You weren't one of the pathetic masses that were calling for his head last week, were you? From what I've seen, BTO was just about the only poster here defending him.

Nw you all act like it was just a big joke that y'all were trying to get the guy fired. This is exactly why you wait until the end of the season to make your evaluations on how everything went.

The same mass will be calling for his head next season.....

Yeah, I'm reall belittling things by congratulating you.

Class act, Orangeballs.

Yeah, it's not like you haven't tried to trash every win by UT over at the Tiger High board. Are you really that dense? Apparently so.

And it's high comedy when a Tiger High fan tries to talk about class. You and other Tiger High fans have trashed Cuonzo for the last 3 years. Hell, the mods even let you trash him on here at times. Don't try and talk about some lame ass class. Get that laughable sh*t outta here.

Since I'm in the spirit of giving, I'll give you Memphis fans this too.

Saw advance copy of RealSports: Not flattering for OU, UNC or MEMP or NCAA. One OU prof spoke abt his job making sure players stay eligible.

On No!!!! We do things to keep athletes eligible? ::Shocked::

Is Bryant Gumbel gonna bust us?

The same mass will be calling for his head next season.....

Is that any worse than idly standing by and watching Pastner piss away talent? Sorry we're not content with PRIOR mediocrity. If CCM had Pastner's talent and was 2-4 in the tourney I'd be raising hell as well. No one should be satisfied with merely getting in and then routinely crapping their britches, especially not a "blue-blood" like Memphis (quotes denote tongue in cheek).
