There is that distinction that only one of those wars was fought for the soul of our Country. The Great ole United States of America and your defeat made that possible. We're not going back. I'll proudly give that speech. You really need to make that speech at the next Korean or Vietnam War veterans memorial ceremony.
Video it for us, please.

Neither one of those wars was fought for "the soul of our country". Did our soul lie in Seoul (pun intended), or Saigon?
Nonetheless, those who served in those wars deserve recognition, including honor for those who died on foreign soil, regardless of the reasons behind it. Same goes for the Civil War. You had a nation divided along ideological lines. For anyone...college student, you, me, or anyone else to tear down, denigrate, or make light of the sacrifices or memorials dedicated to the painful lessons of the history of this nation...and those who paid the price in blood....is, in my opinion, despicable.
Not attacking you, just the post, and the actions of those who attack monuments to our history. Since when do they get to decide what is acceptable history and what is not. They didn't live it, or write it. What makes them the final judge?
Yep, there are a lot of monuments celebrating our troops sacrifice all over the world promoting the sacrifices we made at home.

Would you support attacking and firing upon California if they seceded from the union today?Your sarcasm makes a good point. The Civil War was a war the United States and President Lincoln was right to fight and win. We should not have attempted to prop up an unpopular dictator in Vietnam, just because we liked the other dictator less.
1. South fired firstDamn! Would you not think they would shoot back if their new country was attacked?
Because the Northern soldiers were in a fort in their country, and wouldn't leave. So, if the feds occupied a seceded California, and California said they were a separate country, you would occupy their country, refuse to leave, and not expect to be fired upon? I have never ever thought that a monument was put up to give the finger to black people.1. South fired first
2. They may. However, once they lose, I would be opposed to the monuments to treason.
3. Especially if the treason was to preserve slavery, and the monuments were put up to give the finger to black people.
Then you may not have been aware when many were put up.Because the Northern soldiers were in a fort in their country, and wouldn't leave.
