can anyone tell me who makes our football jerseys. i know sports beele made them before adidas came along, and i also know that a local knoxville company made the black jersey we wore in 09'. Does a local company make them for us all the time?

adidas?

i realize this guys , maybe my question should be more refined....
i thought that a local company took the blank adidas jersey and numbered/personalized them for the university. similar to when we first signed with adidas and sports belle actually put the adidas logo on their jersey...does that make sense?

yes it makes sense and I think that has been posted but can't remember the company. I want to say it's not a local company but that a local one had to do the black ones because of time constraints. A company named Ripon was making them a couple years back

Ripon Athletic in Wisconsin manufactured the jerseys from 2005-2010. The Techfits are made by a company in Israel and are lettered by Ripon.

Ripon is the company that has manufactured the majority of on-field jerseys for NFL teams since the 1960s. They have made the on-field NFL jerseys for Reebok, adidas, Nike, Starter, and Puma over the years, as well as under their own company's former name, Sand-Knit.

The local company that adidas works with is SM Athletics. They letter spare jerseys, embroider and screen print logos on shirts and jackets, etc. They are also the company that was able to manufacture the black jerseys on three days notice. Given a few more days to customize the jerseys, they would have had a much higher-quality look.
